Very useful - super util Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A killer addon which work as expected, an additional function to rename the tab would be nice. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (30.0.7).
very useful add-on, some bugs Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is an indispensable add-on for power tab users who want to colour-code tabs to prioritise. BUT shortcut key for change tab colour doesnt work, I couldn't customise the 4 default colours showing, and it only colours edges - not the whole tab? Can you please fix, and add some instructions, for 5 stars? An option to customise shortcut keys would be great! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (30.0.5).
Display Tab Stack Option BACKWARDS Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I'm using FF 47.0 64-bit (on WIn7, Win8.1, WIn10 - all 64-bit)
When the Option "Display Tab-Stack Below the tabs (thick colored line)" is checked, the thick line appears ABOVE the tabs ! When unchecked, there is NO thick colored line. This happens with the latest version of ColorfulTabs - and numerous previous version. This is the ONLY problem I find in this otherwise great add-on.

How can i disable that dark blue or black background that flashes when tabs are open before i switch to one of them..This review is for a previous version of the add-on (30.0.4). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
broken option in 30.0.4 for Windows Rated 5 out of 5 stars
In 30.0.4 on windows 10, Enable Fixed Background Color for Currently Selected Tab doesn't work - it's greyed out. It worked fine in 30.0.3.
Other than that, I love this add-on!
SO-SOOO AWESOME... When it works... :( Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I don't understand compatability issues, but 1 or more of my other addons don't work with this.
I had to disable and move on to Colorfultabs candy... it's okay, but better than my all grey tabs, right now. :/
Slow Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Good effort, but makes Firefox go slow. Also noticed browser hangs a lot. Both problem resolved as soon as I removed the add on. Maybe something to look into for the developer. Dont like the box shaped tabs. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).
Takes Some of the Pain Out of Browsing for Peeps With ADD Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I knew that I liked this but didn't realize how much I LOVED it and how I had come to rely on it, until it was unavailable for a couple weeks during the signing process. ColorfulTabs helps me quickly focus in on the tab I am seeking; also the tabs take up less horizontal space so more tabs are displayed when I have a lot open. Thank you SOOooo MUCH for this add-on! [It's already a five but could be a 5+ if the tabs could have a bit of a reduction in vertical scale... that is not a criticism of CTs, it is my wish for every tool bar, banner, and header because the more that is displayed on my page, the less of my page I can view at once.] Thank you again. ColorfulTabs is the bomb!!! xoxoxoThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).
Wonderful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Wonderful addon, makes your tabs appealing to the eye and easily recognizable. Lightweight and configurable. (My settings: Generate Colors By Domain Hostname, Fading minimum, Do Not Minify Tabs, Tab Border Radious: 0 (No rounded borders). You can instead keep the defaults, but play a little yourself to find the most appealing to you.)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).

Please Update Rated 2 out of 5 stars
It is automatically disabled since it hasn’t been signed. I could use a hack of the config but I will not jeopardize the smooth running of my Firefox 44.0. Mozilla has been warning about the signing requirement for months so this should not be a surprise to anyone. It is very disappointing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).
ColorfulTabs no longer works with Firefox because of no signing Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It is very disappointing to find that the ColorfulTabs I donated to will no longer work in the current version of Firefox 44.0.0. It is automatically disabled since it hasn’t been signed. Ugly Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I do not like Colorful Tabs. While some people might find it handy to have the different colored tabs, the look is not as elegant as before you install it. Meaning, the tab shapes are boxy rectangles instead of the curvy-shape as is the default. For me, it's ugly and I do not enjoy looking at it. I removed it right away after I saw how unpleasant it looks. It seems like a good idea, but this version of the idea did not work for me. Sorry. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.7).
CFT is unsigned, said FF Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With FF 43, CFT is unsigned. Please release the same version like you write on AMO (AMO : 29.7 / for users to download : 29.6 = FF understand nothing more !!!!) Please correct this for next update. Thanks a lot for your addon. It is a must have. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.7).
Sorry, but you have to go. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have really enjoyed your addon. Right up until you started with the shilling for donations. Other addons take you to their addon page when they update their work. I would suggest you do the same. This encourages people to donate far more than your choice. (And yes, I donate to developers)
Your product is very good. Your sales tactics needs help.
If you change your tactics I will be happy to donate.
We do take you to a page where there's a link for changelog and you can see what changed and what's been updated. If you have any specific suggestions feel free to contact me directly and I'll be happy to implement them. Thanks for you review.
Love this addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon turns a dreary looking Firefox into something nice to look at. Thank you, ColorfulTabs. If only you could spell "colour" correctly it would be perfect ;-)
The "Open tab here" on the sub-menu is really useful too.
Text glow permanently enabled Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Starting with version 28.7, text glow is permanently enabled with no way to turn it off. Reported on Binaryturf Colorfultabs forums three weeks ago. Installed new version 28.9 today, issue still not fixed. Very annoying. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.9).
One of my favorite add ons Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Recently had some issues with my tabs displaying vertically on the left side, instead of in rows. Posting on the support forum got me no response. Luckily, I came here today, and thanks to Chris Lockwood, my issue is fixed. Chris, you rock! Thank you so much! Mini mode is not a setting I chose, however, so I'm not sure how it ended up that way. Oh well. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.5).
Review Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Moonbeam on your support page describes the same problem I'm suffering: vertical tabs rather than multi-row. JNP in a review on the Mozilla Add-on page for your extension provides a resolution but doesn't clearly explain how to get to settings, as I could not find anything in Firefox that uses the term minfy.
Here's his comments: "I then read the update notes about 'fixing' a bug in minify tabs in version 28.3. On a hunch, I went into settings, unchecked the minify tabs box and my tabs returned to aligning themselves horizontally rather than vertically."
Shivanand , thanks for the super-quick reply. It worked after I restarted the browser. For others: to uncheck minify option, right click on any tab, go to the bottom of the menu and click on ColorfulTabs, then remove the check mark from Mini-Mode.
looks pretty, but the cause for all my firefox crashes Rated 1 out of 5 stars
found out after many months of ever more crashes, it was colfultabs (perhaps interfering with another add-ons, dont know)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).
