not compatible with new firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The addon is fantastic, but not compatible with new firefox, please update. Thank you.
Just found an update: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/behind-the-overlay-revival
Awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon worked beautifully.
I didn't see the icon immediately, but I think that's because I have my UI very customized. I went into "customize toolbars" and it was right there.
Suggestion: Mention on your page that there's an icon on the menu to get rid of the overlay. I had to look into the comments to see this.
Suggestion: Add functionality where clicking on the overlay removes it.
Suggestion: Once an overlay is removed, remove overlays automatically from all locations on that web sit.
Fantastic! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I just added this and tried five sites I constantly had to deal with the idiot overlays and it blocked them all! Greatest Add-on in a long time.
no icon showing Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Firefox 51...no icon showing, although on my other computer with Firefox 52 there is an icon so it can be used to remove overlays.
Não funciona no Modo Privado Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Funciona bem mas não roda no modo privado o que é uma pena. Mas eu achei esse que funciona.
this one works in private browsing
Closes a lot of Pop Ups Rated 5 out of 5 stars
More and more sites are annoying us with boxes that pop up when you open them. This add on adds an icon to the Menu Bar. Just click on the icon, and the pop up is closed.

Doesn't remove what's on TOP of the overlay. If the sign-in or whatever can't be removed then neither can the overlay.
no icon,so doesn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I did what was segested and the overlay blocker does not work. Also how come there are no overlay blockers for firefox android?
Will be good when it works with user-assignable shortcut key, and with Pinterest Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Came looking for this because I need ability to get rid of those popups without using mouse cursor. Will be great when/if you get this working with a keyboard shortcut that I can choose.
It doesn't work with Pinterest. That's OK. Pinterest can bite me. But it would be nice if you could defeat Pinterest's super annoying login popup that makes their site unusable for people with accessibility issues.
Like it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is a nice little add-on that works well. It doesn't save clicks but it does save time because you no longer have to hunt for the little "x" or whatever to close an overlay.
To be more useful, I think it needs a keyboard shortcut. Also, the icon is overdone and doesn't match well with Firefox icons and buttons.
F**k you Pinterest!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Lightboxes and overlays - the new scourge of the internet.
Pinterest was the one that was really annoying me and this has fixed it.
Works great, but does not save time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This add-on seems to work great most of the time, however, it does not save the fact that you have to click somewhere to close the overlay. For this plug-in to be useful, it needs to ask if it should close the overlay automatically the next time to build a list of web site where overlay should be kept at bay.
Great but not working in private windows. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I don't agree with Beer Patzer and Charles770, I use few sites where there is noway to get rid of the overlay with a click. This addon works perfectly for me. Only one problem: in private window the addon's icon disappears. I understand the need for privacy (and therefore to deactivate the addon) in private mode but would great if there was a way to choose whether to have it active or not in private windows.
NEEDS TO BE SEAMONKEY COMPATIBLE!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is an AWESOME add-on, but I'd love to see it be compatible with the Seamonkey browser! (HINT HINT!!!!) :D
I agree Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I agree with Beer Patzer: it's 1 click instead of 1. This extension should do the job automatically IMO.
Useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The entire idea of an overlay blocker is to do it AUTOMATICALLY. If it takes a click to close the overlay popup, then why do you even need this extension???? You can do it manually!
ok Rated 3 out of 5 stars
But i find out a way to block overlays using this css code:
/* Selects every <div> element whose style attribute value contains the substring "z-index" */
display: none !important;
Put this code in your userContent.css file.
