Excellent privacy add !
Use it since a few monthes, and forgot to leave a comment...
As I learned out that even not being connected to your Facebook and consort accounts,
FB & Co were able to link your searches just in case there was any "Like" button on the page,
and even without clicking on it just amazed me...
Did not like it at all as I am not a fan of those "social networks"...
and as in the same time discovered there was a way to control it,
using the ShareMeNot add, I straightforward adopted it !
Better late than never : Thanks a lot :-)
What I was looking for... for years... :-)
Because unless you're a real tech pro and even so,
the "basic" Firefox "about:memory" is far too complex (at least for me)
and I could never figure out "which add-on is doing what"...
10 stars and...
10'000 lives, as were used Chinese to whish Long Live to their Emperor !
Will keep the xpi file aside, in case Mozilla would remove it,
as I see it is experimental.
As already been said, should be in Firefox natively installed !
So thanks a lot :-)
Works finally with my Firefox 19.0 !
So another good add, very usefull when it does work :-)
Had a hard time with it ! And still don't know why !
However, now I' m glad... :-)
I use it it since a short wile :
sometimes it works properly, sometimes it doesn't...
It shows results, but nothing happen as I click on "download".
On my second computer doesn't work at all...
I think I'll reinstal Jdownloader, that never fails.
Guess that for whom it works well, a good add... but in my case, only so-so !
Seems to be useless !
As already said, there is no download folder to get back your file...
I call it Mega shot !
Truth is that it must have somewhere a real bug, even for Firefox's 17 version, or at least for the French version.
As I passed by to see if anything was updated, I had the pleasant surprise to see it was updated less than a month ago.
Therefore I tried again, but to increase the possibility to have any problem, I create an brand new profile, without any add-on, not theme, etc...
still the same ! Doesn't work !
More surprising is that what is shown on the configuraton pop-up, is the same old version of LSR which doesn't work... ! I guess it's in my Kharma with that b... extension that doesn't work for me :-(
I still miss it ! I admit it's not a pleasant comment, but I'd rather prefer to write a nice one, if it would have worked !!!
Very interesting add, yes...
how come it doesn't work properly to clear
more than a few lines, at the same time... ?
Is there a limited possibility for deleting lines ?
(and if yes, how many a the same time ?)
because to choose one by one...
I let you guess :
very unpractical and of course slightly to slow :-)
If ever you have an explanation and an answer,
that would be nice :-)
Until then, sorry but only 3* :-(
Nevetheless, great add for the ones for whom it works well !
Passing by Mozilla's addons, checking my latest bookmarks' url, I just realized I forgot to say a warm thank you !!!
I'm using Password Exporter since at least 6 or 7 years, and it saved me a lot time, as I sometimes fully reinstall Firefox.
The first time Add-on Compatibilty Reporter told me PassExp doesn't work anylonger, I remember I had almost a heart-attack (joking.... but I've got plenty of passwords); you're kidding me !
Then I deactivated this unpleasant M(aster)F(inal) A-oCR as usual... and everything was fine again. Could reintroduce my passwords, within a minute ! Yes !!!
Therefore as we're used to say in French, better late than never : Thank You !
What a pity !
It worked for a while again, and now no more :-(
I miss it, I miss it :-)
To the developper : would you have an explanation ?
Kind of you if you would have a solution
for this problem :-)
remark : the score would obvioulsy be 5* if it worked...
Net and clean, very pleasant :-)
Leaves your your browser very effective, not disturbed by colors on the upper part !
Had to disable it for a while because suspected some incompatibility with others adds, but finally the problem came from somewhere else...
As I appreciated it (and used it since the beginning of personnas), I'm glad to have it again :-)
Many thanks !
Works like a charm :-)
I tried TinEye Reverse Image Search before, but frankly this one is far above !
Well done, thank you :-)
Thanks for your answer !
I use Windows XP Pro (don't like 7 !) and my Firefox 8.0 is the Windows 32 bit French version (in Geneva, Switzerland, we're used to speak French :-)
But as I use ~25 adds-on (AdBlock Plus, Autopager, BetterPrivacy, CookiesKiller, Custom Tab Width, Flashblock, Greasemonkey, gTranslate, Mouse Gestures Redox, Movable Firefox Button, NoScript, Nuke Anything Enhanced, Optimize Google, Personnal Menu, Remove New Tab Button, Tab Scope and Add-on Compatibility Reporter + 2 users scripts (Google Bar Classic and Google Hit Hider by Domain), + a few ones generaly deactivated because I use them only once in a while, I think it would be very difficult to find out where the conflict comes from, or it would take too long time... unfortunately...
The Bitacora developer asked me if a use a theme, yes : Glass – Milk http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/20219
As I answered to him, I will try to deactivate the theme and see if there is a positive reaction from your add !
If ever, I will just add a new comment :-)
That's all... and best regards :-)
Thanks for your answer !
I didn't see any bug (fortunately or not?) but it simply didn't work for my Fx 8. (I already tried some monthes ago with Fx 4.0)
Yes, I used Glass – Milk http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/20219
And my Firefox is the Windows 32 bit French version (in Geneva, Switzerland, we're used to speak French :-)
But in fact you give me an idea... will try to deactivate my theme to see how will Bitacora and/or Link Status Redox without it.
If I don't put a new comment very soon, it will mean no positive change interaction between the add and my Fx 8.0
Thanks for the answer !
Obviously didn't know it...it would have saved some time for me...
Anyway I installed version 0.78.2, and it works fine !
So I'm glad, and will keep this v until the bug is fixed :-)
Nice work, yes if it works ! :-)
But sorry to write it, but doesn't work for my Firefox 8.0 (:-
Nor Link Status 1.6 nor Bitacora 1.7
a pity for me (:-
Still hope that someone will be able to create one that will really work for everyone :-)
Sorry to write it, but doesn't work for my Firefox 8.0 (:-
Nor Link Status 1.6 nor Link Status Redux 2.0...
a pity for me (:-
Sorry to write it, but doesn't work for me (:-
Nor Link Status Redux 2.0 nor Bitacora 1.7...
A pity for me...
I really miss the functionality of this add...
Wrote already a comment a few monthes ago...
But still the same... doesn't work...
I tried the two others mentionned above, and unfortunately again, none of them work with my Fx...
Well, I won't die :-) but still hope that once someone will
create one that will effectively work !
Doesn't work with Fx 8.0...
same as described by other users...
The search Google page reloads indefinitely, then ask me to fill up a captcha...
Will try the older ap...
Hope it will work, because very useful add...
Please fix this bug :-)
Note : as I was quiet bothered I reinstalled all my adds (one by one), and it's definitively this one that has problems...
Unfortunately this super add doesn't work anymore since Firefox 3.6...
I really miss it,
so I pass by every one or two monthes on this page, to see if anything's new...
Still not... (:-
It would be fantastic if you could update it for Firefox 6.0
Very usefull for anyone who makes a lot of research on Internet...
Hope you'll think about, if not too much work for adapting this add for Firefox 6.0...
Best regards from Geneva, Switzerland :-)
I entirely agree with the comment by 4edrtcghv on January 30, 2011 : This extension is a symptom of what is wrong with Firefox. Yesterday I installed FF4, and since then I already had to set up (now the 3rd) new extensions, because some stuff have been removed from about:config (and I wanted to avoid this ugly orange button...) - browser.tabs.tabMinWidth and browser.tabs.tabMaxWidth have been removed... I had to install a new ext... And now, Holly S... I have install another one just for getting ride of this new tab button... So thanks for the creator of it, yes of course :-) But Firefox starts really to get on my nerves, I mean almost... wonder if I will not reinstall FF3.6.15... it's getting to this far ! My rating is 5 for the add, but FF4 gets a 3. Reactivity is good, yes, but what the f... about removing basic inbuilt functions ??? I suggest you read the above mentioned comment... It clearly explains the problem !!! Had to spend quiet a while on the net to find the proper answers to this general mess, when before it took me maximum 5 minutes to apply my preferences in about:config !
