Print Edit WE

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Extremely useful, if one wants to keep a "soft-copy in time" of a certain page without the clutter around. Formatting features allow text to be well presented, too.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (20.1).

Voice not working properly... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

... found it (!!) - adendum to my previous review:
The default voice of "Female US Emily" seems to be NOT working. "Female UK Isla" does a pretty good job.

Area needs to be pre-defined, before using "Speak this text" requires to actually visually dentify the area first.

Thanks for the extension.

Speech output offered to download (?) Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I gave this rating on v1.8, because I actually could not test the extension properly. (Firefox 34.0.5)

The synthesizer appears to create ogg-files. But I have the DownloadHelper (4.9.24) extension installed, which simply grabs the ogg-files and offers them for download.

I checked, whether I could stop the DownloadHelper from grabbing ogg-files, but it seems that in this add-on there conversion involved, as I cannot disable the ogg-file extension. Obviously, this would also defeat the object of the extension to download ogg-files, when they are "legitimately" available. So, I have disabled the Downloadhelper for testing, but, although the icons in the toolbar indicate "playing" of speech, there was no audio output. Now I have also disabled Ghostery (5.4.1) and Flash and Video Download (1.64), but to no avail.

So for now, I will be waiting for an update.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Using tbird 10.0.2 with Sync Kolab v 1.5.4, I set up a profile for one account; seems to have cached the respective addresses; but when adding another profile, it briefly (1/2 second) shows the settings window, then starts setup wiz to create a new profile.

I managed to screnshoot the settings window, but my first profile is not listed. I created a profile for a second email account, so will see what the AddOn does.

I have re-started tbird, but no further addresses have been imported (from the 2nd account)... and there should be loads!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
