Works perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been looking for something like this for a couple of years. I hate having to open .hmt files in Internet Exploder.
Even though this extension is still experimental, I have not had any problems using it in FF 3.0.5. I also haven't noticed any compatibility problems with the other 33 extensions I have installed.
Good work arai_a!
Nice Visual Confirmation Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I find this extension quite useful--especially when introducing Firefox to a first-time user. I even have it installed on my machines; it's nice to get a visual confirmation that FF is loading.
Overall, a very useful extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I used the ScreenGrab extension for awhile and then switched to Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic. Let me say that FireShot is a much more extensive and useful tool than either of those extensions.
The only problem I had with FireShot is that it crashed Firefox (3.0b4) immediately after saving a screen capture. The screen capture was successful, but what a pain! (I see that several other people in the reviews below have also experienced this problem.)
I did some troubleshooting and discovered that the problem is not due to an incompatibility with another extension; it is due to the FireShot button on the toolbar (believe it or not). If I remove the button FireShot works perfectly. If I place it back on the toolbar FireShot starts crashing again. This isn't a major problem for me since FireShot is also available in the mouse context menu.
The aforementioned problem combined with the lack of an undo feature is why I gave FireShot a rating of 9.
Just plain rocks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have been wanting something like this for awhile now. I stumbled upon it after visiting the homepage for the Organize Search Engines extension. (Another excellent extension from this developer!) Also, it does not disable Manage Search Engines as noted by "NukeWkill" below. BTW: I'm using both extensions in FF3b4.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7).
Used Constantly Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Pros: Does exactly what it says: copies whatever you have selected (on a web page) while removing all formatting in the process. I use this extension constantly.
Cons: Needs an option to create a user-defined keyboard shortcut. Needs to be updated for FF3.0.
It does work with FF3.0b3 if you use the MR Tech Local Install extension to overwrite 'maxVersion' compatibility testing. You can also use the Nightly Tester Tools extension to overwrite 'maxVersion' compatibility testing.
Thank you Jeremy Gillick!
A "must have" for me! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am so spoiled by this extension that I have a very hard time using any other browser besides Firefox. I even have a difficult time using Firefox on another computer if it doesn't have this extension installed.
It does work with FF3.0b3 if you install this version: http://saber.kawaii-shoujo.net/Various/tab_mix_plus-0.3.6.0.071228.xpi
The only complaint I have with this extension is that occasionally the session manager loses my tabs. Happens rarely, but nevertheless, does happen.
Kudos to the extension creator.
Very Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I really like this extension. I copy and paste a lot of articles from the Internet and this saves me from having to perform a separate copy/paste for the text body, title, and URL for each article.
My only disappointment is that this extension is not compatible with FF3.0b3. I certainly hope the developer with update soon.
Very Useful --When it works Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I find this extension quite useful--except for when it doesn't work--which is about 20% of the time. (I have no idea why.)
It's nice to see what I've actually typed as I enter long, secure passwords.
The danger of course is that someone will see my password, so I would like an option to quickly turn the feature off on the mouse context menu.
I am currently using FF3.0b3, but this extension does not work with FF3. I really miss it!
Very Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This extension is so very useful that it should be standard in Firefox and Thunderbird. I no longer have to remember to check for updates to my numerous extensions.
I got it to work with Thunderbird 2.0 by using MR Tech Local Install and checking the "Override 'maxVersion' compatibility checking" box.
