Woordenboek Nederlands

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Lightbeam for Firefox

Bug Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The addon hardly shows any of the sites I visit and keeps throwing XML syntax errors.

Web of Trust - WOT

Beware of fake negative reviews for this add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

To quote Mike D: "I find suspicious all of these nasty posts, I can't help but think they have all been written by the same person/group/organization."
I can only agree. Almost all 1-star reviews were posted by a user account that has posted only one or two reviews, all of which are 1-star ratings for WOT. Beware for scammers!

Wappalyzer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent tool, provides great insight in technologies used by web sites. Even popular, well-known web sites that are built not to expose such information are often "unmasked" to show what technologies they use.
The only feature it misses is a way to directly show the version of the used technologies at web sites.

Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More

Really nice Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon, good editing and most important an Undo button. Recommend it to everyone taking web page screenshots :-).

Oh, and for everybody complaining it doesn't support Fx 8: a compatibility update is awaiting approval from Mozilla since November 17. You can download it from the all versions page, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/awesome-screenshot-capture-/versions/.

Buienradar

MAFIAAFire Redirector

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This addon downloads redirect rules from 4 UNENCRYPTED web sites, including the obscure "if*cksexygirls.com" domain. Not only those websites don't really appear to be secure, since the connection is not encrypted, anyone who can intercept your connection (open wifi, for example) can add for example a rule that makes https://www.mybank.com point to http://somephisingsite.com/phishing.php. At last, they DO track you. I found this comment in the chrome extension source: "// lets gather some internal stats on MF .com" (above the function that shows the support page after 15 redirects).

Edit: I agree with most of the points made in the reply, but users should still keep in mind that there is a risk involved with using this add-on via an untrusted connection.
