This should be something that's built into FireFox (which I think I've mentioned before). I'd reviewed this in 2012 but it has worked so well and been annoyance free for so long I felt it was worth another mention. Also the fact that the programmer is still around is also worth mentioning since there are so many add-on's that show-up and then disappear.
I've been using StartupMaster for about 3 years and it has worked without problems through every version and update of FireFox I've installed alongside the dozens of other add-ons I've installed. That includes all of the beta versions of FireFox (Nightly) that were installed on my laptop over the past year.
StartupMaster has not been broken during the frequent code changes in FireFox where other add-on's have and that alone is worth a couple of stars. No app is always error free or without conflicts but in almost 3 years I've not had a single issue with it.
StartupMaster is not fancy, it does not have unnecessary features, and it works. For me, simple and easy always beats out complicated and easy to break.
Google Maps does not recognize the Garmin Communicator plugin. I have installed the plug-in from Garmin's site and FireFox warns me that the plug-in is trying to install. I okay it, a download starts and completes, FireFox then tells me that Garmin Communicator will start as soon as FireFox restarts. I let FireFox restart and it comes back to the same page which then prompts me to install Garmin Communicator. Naturally there is no of knowing if it is a Garmin problem, a FireFox problem, or both because customer support is really lacking for both of these products. Very disappointed in Garmin for not making a product easy to use. Disappointed in FireFox for not providing better information to users about the reason why an add-on is not working.
I've been using this through all of the various versions of FireFox including FireFox nightly. Mostly I used it with the portable version of FireFox and accessed it centrally. It saves a ton of time by not having to constantly look up rarely (and not so rarely) used information. Easy to create new lists, easy to grab new information from fields that I've entered. Easy to edit, cleanup, and reorder how I want any particular list to look. One request would be an import/export feature to be able to synch the lists between computers. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.3).
This should at least be an option in FireFox. This fixed a Sync and FireFox annoying habit of randomly popping up. FireFox doesn't notice that I might be typing something in, say Google's Search box, at the time.. This really makes much more senseThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).
