This is the best extension for easily preserving your addons whenever a FF update comes along. :)
It works perfectly. Simple and effective. Thank you, developer! :)
Great job creating this extension! :) Tons of excellent features, combined with an instant useability (no need for intimidation with this) makes for a killer application. Cheers! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
Great extension, Manish! :) My homepage - undoubtedly like many others - is simply set to Google. Nearly every time I open a tab, I have to immediately click the "home" button to open up Google. This bypasses that intermediate step for me. And it works perfectly on my Win 7 64-bit system. Thanks!
An absolutely excellent add-on! I've been searching for an extension like this for quite some time now due to fewer and fewer sites including "print" functionality these days. Prior to writing this review, I visited a few "Gawker-style" sites in order to experiment and found that Readability worked flawlessly, creating clutter-free, printable (and, of course, readable) layouts with the simple click of the toolbar icon. In addition to the great functionality of this add-on, I like the included options to further customize the look of the layout with a handful of styles to choose from. Nothing negative to report here. Great job, devs! :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4).
I'm a little saddened that you've elected to discontinue support for older editions of Firefox. I've resisted upgrading to more recent Firefox releases due to extensive incompatibility issues with some of my favorite add-ons. Still, I applaud you for your work on this extension. It really is a useful app. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7b.1-signed).
Great job on this extension, eternicode! As others here have noted, I've learned to avoid upgrading Firefox after encountering major incompatibility issues with some of my favorite extensions. Your add-on simplifies the question of whether to upgrade in the future or not. Cheers! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.20110114.1-signed).
Using the IDM CC add-on for Firefox has never resulted in a crash for me, and I've used it for nearly two years. I understand that a mistake caused the add-on to be blocked for everyone when it was only intended for a few who truly were experiencing crashes. Hopefully this will be rectified soon. This is an incredibly useful add-on.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.9.3).
I've used this add-on successfully in the past with little issue. However, recently, I began noticing that Firefox was behaving very erratically, consuming high (90-100%) CPU regularly, especially on sites such as RapidShare and - oddly - Google News. My PC would essentially hang due to the excessive processor & memory usage until / unless I manually restarted the browser, whereby the cpu would work at low levels briefly, only to escalate on these same sites all over again. Suspecting a Java issue, I uninstalled and updated Runtime Environment, but the problem persisted. Finally, following much research, I decided to disable my list of Firefox add-ons one-by-one, checking memory and cpu use with Task Manager upon each and every restart. Once I disabled this add-on (SkipScreen) the problem was immediately solved. The browser again works perfectly. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have the latest version of FF installed, as well as the lastest version of SkipScreen. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.20091214_AMO).
To those having compatibility difficulties following upgrade to Firefox 3.5, follow Xamar's advice in a previous comment and manually edit saved "aardvark.xpi" file, changing "3.0*" to "3.5*" in the "install.rdf". This tweak will allow installation. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.97).
One of my favorite extensions. Incredibly useful for those sites which you want to explore in more depth before allocating yet another bookmark slot. Must-have.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9945).
This is a very useful addon! :-) Simple installation procedure. I have many bookmarks that have accumulated over the years, and this extension indeed jettisoned those links which were dead. Does what it claims to do, and does it well. Good job and thank you Andy! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).
