What every browser needs....

add.2.cal

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just installed. Works great. It creates an icon in the top right next to the search bar. You can the highlight a date and click the icon and will open up a dialog box where you can perfect the event information (most of which it already pulls in from the page). Even allows you to select which Google Calendar to add to, in case you have more than one. Verified the event in my Google Calendar. Works perfectly.

As for privacy issues, it asks for permission to Google Calendar (obviously). I didn't see requests for access to any other Google online applications.

SortPref

Suggestion Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I agree with TiagoTiago. I'd very much like to sort via sender (ascending) and then by date (descending), so I can get the most recent email first from an author, and then the second most from the same author, and then the third most. Haven't figured out a way to do this easily without running a search for the particular author and then sorting by date.

Customize Your Web

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In my opinion, this is the most useful Firefox extension designed to-date. Essentially can be used to automate any web task or re-design almost any webpage. Saves time and hands control over what a user is forced to see into the hands of the user.

Stacked View Extension

Compatibility hack Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For those that are desperately seeking to override the version compatibility limitation, try installing MR Tech Toolkit (extension) first. It will then allow you to install this extension on an unsupported version. Works on 2.x. Have not tried it on 3.x.

QuoteURLText

Request: Date formatting Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I do a lot of citing in an academic research context. I was looking for a good replacement to CopyURL+. This extension almost fits the bill even better, but would love it if one could format the date. For instance, I only need the d mmm yyyy. Most of the date information posted in QUT's @date is extraneous, so much so, that I just don't even both using the @date function, preferring to enter the date manually.
(I also recommend silencing that error that occurs when no text is selected. Sometimes one just wants the URL/title/date information without requiring a quote. But, it's not difficult to select anything on the page to bypass this error, so it's not all that big of a deal.)
