Found a BUG Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It does not show password in Yahoo mail (it used to). Could you fix it? (FF v46; XP-SP3; UP v220.127.116.11.1-signed)This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Be careful with this add-on!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I don't know exactly how this add-on works, but I guess it changes via Document Object Model (DOM) access the type of a password input field to normal text input field so text entered in this field is not hidden anymore. Unfortunately this has an unwanted side effect: If your Firefox is configured to store the content of normal text input fields (the default) then it stores your entered password too. Therefore I was able to find my passwords in the Firefox SQLite database. After some tests to validate my suspicion that this was caused by this add-on I uninstalled it immediatly.
Not fully working in FF 44 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Great Add-On, very useful at home and work :)
Normally there is nobody behind my back, in the rare cases this could happen, I use a slightly modified version of it, where I can doubleclick and disable the feature till a reload of the site. Actually this is code from the early version 1.2, which can be get from the repo of mozilla, here on this site at the bottom.
Here is the modified version: is.gd/unhide_passwords_fcw and I hope the developer appreciates it that it is spread :)
On Firefox 44 it is not anymore working fully, so I stay on FF 43
My Gmail got hacked after installing this Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Works fine. Maybe it's a total coincidence but my Gmail account got hacked after installing this. As I say, maybe no connection. But I've uninstalled it quickly just in case.......
GREAT! It works most of the time Rated 5 out of 5 stars
First: THIS SHOULD BE A BROWSER BUILT-IN! When it works it is fantastic. BUT...
Any other time this works flawlessly. WIthout this, I cannot successfully type a password.

This should be a built in feature.
I NEVER need my passwords to be hidden, and this extension works flawlessly.
Essential for anyone who deals with passwords longer than ~8 characters.

Thank you, now I shall no mistakes while entering my complicated pass...

Perfect plugin! Now I can be stupid and have everyone who walks by my computer desk that has monitors facing a wall snap a photo of my password without me ever knowing it! I'm so glad I can have the ability to show off my password to everyone so my accounts can be hacked without my ever knowing it. Thank you for making this plugin! I can't wait to see hackers at coffee shops hack my passwords from my desktop!

Seriously though, sometimes I fumble my keys as I type in a password and it always bugs me to know if I typoed my password, so I'll just clear the field and do it again. This plugin is perfect. As a serious note, don't use this plugin on a laptop unless you really give zero cares about your account you're using (which is my case many times. Whoopie, someone hijacked my forums password.. oh noes!).
Incompatible with LastPass Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This add-on is incompatible with LastPass. The context-menu option in the other Show-Passwords add-on sort of works with LastPass, so I'll use that one instead of this.
I'm using LastPass myself, and they seem to get along just fine.
Just keep in mind the caveat I mentioned in the "About" section (regarding some slow loading sites).

If you ask me installing a addon like this is not worth the trouble the thing is sure some people don't worry about looking over their shoulder to watch them type in their password but this just make it worse because this just makes really increases your chances of getting your account hacked especially in public places these days you never know what people will do so like what if someone quietly walked behind you pulled out their put phone and took a picture of your screen showing off a visible password and during the whole time they did it without you knowing next thing your know real soon your accounts gonna get hacked because you had to go and download an addon to reveal your password as its being typed in for you people that smart enough not to install this good for you that are just plain dumb don't you know the whole purpose of these *** are to keep people from seeing your password as you type it in so please be smart and don't install stuff like this thats gonna put your accounts at risk of getting hacked and the thing is whoever made this addon was just plain dumb and probably is a hacker himself or designed to help hackers hacked peoples accounts more easily and personally I think its funny it hardly works too cause people shouldn't be trying to hack accounts in the first place so all I can about this one I give a big thumbs down to the person who made it as well as to people that use it tooThis user has a previous review of this add-on.
The only thing I'd "ask you" to do, is to perhaps use a paragraph or two...
And yes, you caught me — it's all part of the big hacker conspiracy.
Ya it works! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Well, the bottom line is, this kinda sorta works... most of the time.
UPDATE: I take it back... in actual fact, it rarely works, so, I uninstalled it, and THAT'S the "bottom line!"

With Roboform 7.5.7 Rated 2 out of 5 stars
If use the unhide password addon with Roboform,, Roboform doesn't work properly, password is not able to autofill. Once I decide to disable Unhide password addon, The roboform works perfectly with Firefox 7.01 , Please provide be with Solution so I could start using Unhide Password.
Due to the overlapping technologies used by my addon and Roboform (changing password fields, or searching for them), it is not really possible to make both compatible with each other.
