A great add-on but it does not work with Thunderbird 78. Would be great to have it updated to work with TB 78!

Priceless!

Very useful for inter-language communications.

It's a bit limited, since it doesn't support retaining the prefix added by the client (because the addon runs when the composing window is presented, which includes the prefix already). In order to work this around, use a negative lookahead:

(?!^)(Ref|Tr|Re|Fwd):\s+

Great tool to cope with those pesty softwares adding Rs to everything.

Please update to new Thunderbird 78 !

Great thank you! :-) As most addons don't work anymore since v68 I am also looking for an alternative for Clean Subject.

So: Is it possible to also Search-Replace? I would like to replace localized versions like "Aw" and "Wg" (German for "Re"/"Fw") with the international version.

Hi, where can I find the controls in Thunderbird, OSX, German? Am I just blind?

Thanks so much for updating this to work with TB 68! Tested version 2.0.0, works like a charm!

The plugins installs on TB 60.9.0 (64-bit) Linux, but seems to do nothing.

Simple "Re :" with space removal. Nor the subject label is clickable.

Works great! However I'm missing one feature. Namely an option to not clean the subject if I'm editing a template.

To remove [ml-ml:nnnn] type of header, which is more popular I think, I added this line.

\[\w+-\w+:\d+\](\s|)
