A shame as I liked this addon.

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Working for me...

with Firefox 41, you have another issue.

picture works but no clock. Used default pix url, used local pix. Still no clock. Made it large 35x15 and opaque. Still, no clock. version 36.0 Will find something else.

Freaking GREAT, love all the different optimizations! The whole set up is great and what i was looking for, just cant seems to get the text color override ("change default text color") to work but it's a simple workaround using the timed text change. Great add-on, would recommend for any full-screen browsing fanatic.

Great job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome! Does what it says. I have a couple of suggestions:
1) Options for number of columns(quite like the tooltip menu over the long row, and can't access it with a single click).
2) Multiple specific hour backgrounds, like from x to y this bg color and from a to b this bg color.

*EDIT* 3) Maybe a more intuitive icon than the double arrow.

Outstanding Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used this and FoxClocks at different times. They are very similar and produce the same results.

I just switched from FF & TB to the SeaMonkey internet application suite and found that FoxClocks does not work in SeaMonkey but Simple Clocks does.

I do agree with emil9216, lose the "Clock(s):"

Otherwise, Bravo.

how do you turn off that annoying notice to drag the icon, and what the hell is that even about?

Magnificent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Dear grbradt!
I'm using your other addon Simple Timer for a long time.
Now I found this one - Simple Clocks and installed it for fun.
I discovered, that these two addons are alike.
I also found how to create more then one alarm to the same time zone - we need to find different locations with the same time zone: enable to indicate only one of them, but assign different alarms to each one - I choose different locations for the same time zone.
If Simple Clocks will not ban multiple additions of the same locations - will be better, but even with this restriction it is enough comfortable.
The alarm (notificatin) options in Simple Timer allow to bookmark the url and issue the pop-up window with message and clicable url while the Simple Clocks - only bottom-up notification with nonclicable optional message.
If you add pop-up window notificator with clicable url, the Simple Clocks will turn into universal Clocks-Timer.
The rest alarm options in Simple Clocks addon are more attractive then in Simple Timer.
The daily occurence is simpler. It worth to add the number of days (not only every day, but every 2-nd, 3-th,..., 30-th day).
The date, if it is checked with "once occurancy" is treated as curently, but if it is checked with repeatedly occurrency - it should be treated as the end of this repeated alarm.
Such universal addon will be very similar to the current Simple Timer.
But anyway - excellent addon. Thank you.

Great addon! One suggestion: remove the "Clock(s):" label at the top of tooltip window.

Doesn't work on OS X 10.6.8 and FF 11 and/or 12 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The locations table is absolutely blank. Can't choose any location. Hoped this plays well with NoScript, AdBlock, HTTPS Everywhere plugins.. but it doesn't seem to. Oh, and I run my FF with cookies allowed only from a white list of domains. Hope that's not the issue.

Please read...

Apparently you did not bother to read the add-on description. In bold letters near the top, it says:

Note for users of the HTTPS-Everywhere extension: My timezone data is hosted on a Google server. HTTPS-Everywhere will block the download of my files. When you open the Locations dialog, the countries will not load. You can uncheck the GoogleServices preference.

It's users like you that make me want to pull all my add-ons out of here, because I don't need this crap anymore.

Can only have one alarm per day per location/timezone Rated 2 out of 5 stars

That it only allows one alarm per day per location/timezone is a major setback. I dont see need for this limitation. Alarm function was the only selling point I sow - and now I see how cannibalized/limited this function is - Does not stand out from similar add on than

downloaded this in response to fox clocks no longer being available on the version of firefox, must have some bug but after the settings i put in got "Sun Dec 23 2007 14:00 GMT +0000 (GMT Standard Time) Wed Nov 23" this was after i told it to display the country flag, location, date and time with AM/PM. All i got was flag, location and time even though it was set up for 12hr with AM/PM, subsequently removed from my firefox

Well...

Sorry you missed the message at the top of the add-on description, in bold letters:
"Bug reports should be submitted to my e-mail address (see "Support E-mail" link to the right). Using the reviews to report a bug, never to return to see my reply (usually asking for more info), rarely helps."
Guess you were not interested in finding out if I could help you.

fails --FIXED Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This works on Win7 but fails on Ubuntu. When I try to set locations the upper window panes are blank. Nothing to choose from. It would be nice if I could add by manually entering the GMT offset and name.

--edited:

I saw other post about HTTPS Everywhere and fixed it. Works great. Changed review to 5 stars

I agree, this is really a better alternative to FoxClocks. And it works with V6 like a breeze!

Great alternative to FoxClocks, with a lower memory footprint. Would like the option to have flags next to city names, but thats more for cosmetic reasons.

FoxClocks gets all of the good press, but this Add-on is superior.

I was looking for a replacement for FoxClocks after reading the performance data for addons from Mozilla, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/performance. This fit the bill nicely as all I have ever wanted was a lightweight replacement for the long dead Statusbar Clock extension.

The only missing feature is the ability to display localised dates as this uses the US format of Month/Day rather than UK format of Day/Month with no obvious way to change this e.g. Apr 6 instead of 6 Apr.

Great add-on! I enjoy the ability to customize the backgrounds and what not with colors (unlike FoxClocks which I came from). Is there a way to add more colors specifically for each time of the day? I was interested in customizing the style for each time of the day (morning, afternoon, evening, etc.). The colors get overridden. Just a small request :). Works wonderful otherwise!

Good Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is definitely a good add-on for FF users with all versions, though I only came across it after my upgrade to 4.0.x, LOL. Will be better if it shows the date, or give us an option how the Tooltip should display, which is also not an available option in the full version - Simple Timer + Clocks. Thanks.
