Great but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Either Thunderbird 38.1 broke QF [got 4.1.1] or QF needs updating to the latest TB code, but the messages view but for the header in text, have become unviewable with QF loaded. Disable the Add-On and the messages show fine. It works fine with 31.n on another machine.

Edit: The PTF was to remove the add-on, which returned all mail in full view, not only the header in text format, but complete rendering. After restarting twice and adding QF back the mail view returned. An essential add-on to me :D

Please raise a bug:

also if you could upload or send me a screenshot that would be great. Usually a trip to the QuickFolders "bling my tabs" settings page and choosing some colors will fix any unforeseen display issues. Sometimes font and background color can coincide in unpredictable ways.

Super Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've 5 email accounts in Thunderbird, and several subfolders for archiving, and this Add-on has made managing that so much simpler. It's relatively easy to setup, and makes writing an email, while referring to other emails, and then archiving, it a much easier process. As soon as I'm out of my debt crisis, I need to send the developers some money. They deserve it.

Get the pro version!

Thanks for your kind words - don't forget you can get a "pro" license to support the project even better - this adds even more handy features such as unlimited folder icons, quickMove shortcuts and the new "reading list" (planned for 4.1) - test drive the feature by installing from our beta channel.

excellent for people who have a big folder tree and many accounts like me.

expecially useful if your folder tree goes more than two levels deep

This add on really enhances my productivity. It has almost become an essential. It includes a lot of stuff that should really be built into TB. As well as this, the backup support is incredible and personal. What more can I say?

Great functionality, great enhancement. The default design, however, does not integrate very nicely into the default Thunderbird UI. But thanks to the extensive options, I was able to tweak its visual appearance to have a perfect fit:

nice one!

and well done on finding a visual style you find pleasing von your particular operating system / mail application :-) feel free to suggest another theme but bear in mind that the look of the host program (I support three, Thunderbird , SeaMonkey and Postbox) is very largely dependant on the skin your current operating system uses [so you already have 9 different looks by just using one version of each OS with default style. On Windows alone you can have a multitude of looks dependant on the skin you use - I personally use Windowblinds to further vary the look adn full themes on Thunderbird to modify the look even more - I highly recommend Nautipolis] so it is practically impossible to support all different looks without making this a full time job. Also I do not currently own a Macintosh so I can't even guess how my tabs are going to look on there.

My advice for a most native look would be to use the theme "native tabs" (I designed the QuickFolders with tabs in mind, even before Thunderbird supported tabs) or toolbarbuttons. I personally prefer something more colorful, hence "Flat Tabs" is the default.

I hope you will find Quickfolders a useful tool in the future, and let me remark that although the user interface is a big part of it, the main focus of this extension is actually about productivity. I am still learning myself what can be done with it, and I am working on the development for 5 years now. Make sure to reach out to me for the latest prereleases and to test drive the newest features I have come up with.

I LOVE this Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I absolutely love this add-on. I get about 100 emails a day and use this add-on as well as the QuickFilters and it sorts and files my emails into convenient folders so I can read the most important ones first and save the others for when I have time.

This add-on save me so much time and I have not found an thing wrong with it. Great Work Dev.

Mon extension préférée pour Thunderbird Rated 5 out of 5 stars

great add-on and support Rated 5 out of 5 stars

in conjunction with virtual folders this is an invaluable add-on. What I have really been impressed by is the speed of bug-fixing especially when "bugs" are introduced as a result of TB daily updates - essentially some changes in TB making the add-on no longer compatible. This has happened recently several updates in a row and the author has quickly turned around with pre-release versions to deal with the new TB code

Great Product - Great Support Rated 5 out of 5 stars

My gateway supports automatic forwarding to IMAP folders based on header information. Trying to keep the five folders I continually need to access in the same place on the screen in Thunderbird - is impossible without QuickFolders. With QuickFolders its simple and elegant.

And when I found and reported a small (but annoying to me) bug - I had fix a day later. That's hard to beat. I strongly recommend this product for email pros.

A Must-Have Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I run a couple of business, which means that I have to read and keep track of a lot of emails. After finally giving up on the hope of Eudora OSE upgrades, I found myself *far* from in love with T-Bird 17. OSE itself was a departure from Qualcomm's great product that I used for years (until Win7), earlier TB's were a little more, and v17 moved even farther away from what I need, with its folder behavior. That is, until I came across QuickFolders. Now, I can keep the 10 or so folders that I use every day at the top, and run the program like I used to use Eudora 5. It's actually better than Eudora OSE -- assuming it was suddenly bug-free -- because it doesn't create multiple tabs when accessing folders that were already open. It makes Thunderbird useful again.

Great addon. I disabled the toolbar, but I find it terrible to still see the toolbar for 1 or 2 seconds when I start-up Thunderbird. How can I resolve this?

you could try post a bug report on support, I cannot promise that it is easy to fix or fixable at all.

Productivity Booster Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you have a ton of folders in your email like I do (and after nearly 20 years of emails in my business, there are a lot of folders), QuickFolders is a godsend. It saves a lot of time to just click on a tab for a folder to go there instantly. Thank you for creating such an incredibly useful add-on.

Can't Do Without This Add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

QuickFolders keeps getting better and better. QuikFolders provides an invaluable alternative view into your mail folder structure. People who use mail seriously invariably end up with myriad storage folders in a complex tree hierarchy; and that hierarchy and the Tree view are indispensable. But navigating a complex tree structure over and over, to the same deeply located folders, can be tiring. It's repetitive, and can be laborious. QuickFolders provides the missing UI element, a system of visible graphical shortcuts to the folders you choose, using the ubiquitous and widely understood tab metaphor. And, QuickFolders helps rationalize your folder organization tree and its major branches, by providing a top level category organization. You can create slices into the virtual mail database represented by your folders and folder tree, but creating QuickFolder categories, and assigning them to chosen QuickFolder shortcut tabs. QuickFolders is well maintained, consistently updated, always fixed. It keeps up with the TBird updates, and always works.I recommend QuickFolders, and hope to see it continue to be maintained across operating systems. Really, a great tool. A great add-on.

Responsive developer. Exceptional app. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This adds some important functions to Thunderbird. After updating to to TB 17.0.2 yesterday I had an error problem. By this morning, I already had the fix. Great job, great app! Thanks!
