multi-row staus bar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hey I think it would be nice to add an option for a multi-row status bar, so there is room for more or in some cases room for status bar icons that take up a lot of space.

I'm sure a lot of people run into the problem that all their status bar icons won't fit on the bar at the same time.

It would be nice if all developers let people put the icon ware they want(statusbar, toolbar, menu, etc.) but a lot of developers just don't.

Heres the compatible Version Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I made the version compatible with ALL firefox versions:

Very useful extension, although I wish I didn't need it anymore but many old addons still use statusbar buttons that can't be moved individually. Works well in Firefox 6.

Used to love this add-on. While 0.6.5 does work with FF 6, there is a major conflict with Mcafee Site Advisor, causing constant javascript pop-up errors.

Update for Firefox 6.0?

Try Status-4-Evar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

From: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-happened-status-bar#w_the-new-status-bar
How can I get the old Status Bar back?
The old Status Bar is dead, long live Status-4-Evar! Status-4-Evar is an Add-on that recreates all of the features of the old Status Bar and lets you put them in the new Add-on Bar.

Outdated Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Even version 0.6.5 available on the developer's page is problematic -- here anyway (Firefox 5.01) but I don't see any add-on conflict - when some icons are simply missing on the status bar (set to be shown from the add-ons' options and not set hidden by OSBar). Would be nice that the developer keeps up with this extension because I think we are many to like it.

Update Catch-up's Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Though this has been a great Add-on in the past the author has not been updating as regularly as he should. I believe it needs a serious revision to take into account the full functionality of the new Add-on bar and not just a max version number change. I am beginning to find icons in the Add-on bar that DO NOT appear in OSB. Trying to find a contact on his web site is nigh impossible.

Don't see much function in Firefox 5 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Ver 0.6.5 is 1st time I've used this addon. I have no problem getting addons to run just because "max version" isn't updated. To those that say works fine in FX 4, 5 - maybe I'm missing something.

When I open the OSB options, the order of status bar icons is different than what shows after OSB options is closed (or before it's opened, or was ever installed). SOME icons can be moved & takes effect when options is closed. Others, can move icons in options, but makes no change in status bar order once hit OK & close options.

Some icons show up 2x in OSB options. Others are shown in diff order in options than the actual status bar.

Just change the maxversion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The usual trick seems to work.

>>Download *.xpi file
>> Rename *.xpi.zip
>>Extract install.rdf
>>Edit maxVersion to. 5.0*
>>put back in zip file
>>rename back to *.xpi
>>install

Seems to be OK.
