Amazing utility. With this addon I can auto start TB at system login, and always have it in tray view (system process) without the window running.
Works great in my favorite version of the Thunderbird client, 3.1.18. Using this along with Thunderbird Biff for Firefox/PM.

I know that this is discontinued, but... I believe that I used this in the past!

It's not working anymore after the update of Tb to 13.0.1

Very good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One of the reasons i do not upgrade from TB 3.1.19. I could not live without it.

A revived version can be found, just look for MinimizeTo Tray Revived and you'll get it. Completely compatible with Tb 8.0!

Great AddOn, PLEASE UPDATED! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It does not work with Firefox 8: please, upgrade this App!!

Really bad app (
It creates too many X clients under Debian in case of IceDove 3.1.15 and forces an error:
Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached
So you cant open any gui application if it is installed.
And one more thing. This addon doesn't show number of new emails when TB is minimized.

Until TB 5.0 updates use this tip...Install (Minimize On Start and Close 1.3.2) and (TrayIt! together with TB 5.0 .

This is an alternative way to have TB 5.0 startup and have an icon placed into your sytem tray When your Windows system starts up.

Read instructions that come with (TrayIt! to see how to start TB on system start up,,,

Or just see here: http://techstroke.com/how-to-launch-thunderbird-automatically-at-startup-minimized-in-system-tray.html

When you enable (TrayIt!, and add TB 5.0 to it, an icon will be placed into the system tray instead of the start bar when your system starts up.

Make sure you install (Minimize On Start and Close 1.3.2) To TB 5.0 and check the boxes under options that says minimize on start and close

@ Валерий, hanfox, Victor, ...
We know other extensions FOR minimize.
The upgrade we asked is the ability of MinimizeToTray Plus IN minimze : The possibility to use the soft (FF, TB, ...) from the tray ...

Great addon but it's develoment seems to be dead. Goodbye ability to keep FF in memory at all times and open new windows in less than second

That "Download upgrade for Firefox 5.0" is actually:

It lacks features that this addon has. Which is a shame.

As for this addon until I can find a minimize to tray addon that works in TB5 and also minimizes on startup I'm not upgrading TB >.<

Thanks but "Download upgrade for Firefox 5.0" doesn't seem to work. Website is apparently in Russian language. Could we please have instructions in English?
