LyZ is key to using both Zotero and LyX productively.

indispensible Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A +1 to moti's words. I just submitted my PhD thesis, and LyZ was instrumental in doing so. Petr responded quickly to many queries I had a year or so ago, and his tool has never let me down.

Excellent work done by Petr Simon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This tool is indispensable if you are writing your PhD thesis, or an article and ideally your Bc. semestral project. Because the sooner you learn your workflow Lyx - Zotero - Lyz, the more time you save when comparing to Endnote+Word. Thank you, Peter for your tremendous efforts. Contrary to some negative experiences here by novices, LyZ works reliably, every time, even after Firefox upgrades.

As a plugin - this is indispensible. It should really be maintained by zotero, just like OpenOffice / Word plugins. Without it, I wouldn't be using zotero at all. Collaborative academic writing is possible with this, zotero, Lyx and a subversion server. Works brilliantly once set up.

Sorely needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's too bad there is no official LyX-plugin for Zotero (I would have preferred inserting references the same way I do in OpenOffice), but as far as a Firefox extension goes, this is about as good as it gets. My only request is a "zotero" key format that only uses the part after the _ (underscore) -- the item ID -- so that it's possible to convert OpenOffice-documents to LaTeX and reuse the citations in the odt in LyX.

Excellent Invaluable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this add-on for a long time. It is Invaluable for me. LyZ connects between Zotero and LyX. It updates my bibtex files and the relevant LyX documents. I would like to thank the developer.

I am using this plug-in with Zotero 2.0.3 and Lyx 1.6.6.1 on Ubuntu. So far, the integration between Zotero and Lyx through Lyz has been perfect. It beats the heck out of trying to manually keep a shared bibtex database up-to-date.

This is a cool addon, but I would advise some caution. I'm a beginner, so it's probably my fault, but I lost data in my LyX file when running an update from within LyZ.

Nice plugin, works as advertised. There is a question however - how one should set key fields (the default "author year title") if both, author and title are non English, and therefore, stripped on export to bibtex leaving only the year field ? Don't offer "zotero" though, I can't remember these evil numbers.

This is a very good plugin for anyone that writes with LyX. This plugin combined with Zotero group library functionality enable using Zotero easily with documents that are stored in Subversion. In our case this means seamless editing of document by multiple researchers simultaneously. I am giving it four stars since there is still some room for polishing.
