I loved this addon 'til I went to 3.0b3. Now I have to use Sunbird instead...

Great addon. Works great in combination with the Provider for Google Calendar.
Only drawback is that I cannot accept invitations for those Google Calendars. Only local calendars can be accepted. Maybe in a future version :-)

nm, I'm a fool & forgot to restart Thunderbird! Accepting Events from Outlook users now does what it's supposed to, as does adding them manually.

Thunderbird version 2.0.0.22, Mac 10.4.11

Can't Add any New Events, when I "Save & Close" the window stays open and the Event never appears. SAme as Accepting an Event from an Outlook user, it replies to them (the message they get is all garbled however) but never adds the Event to my Calendar. Is there a Forum someplace for Support?

Pocket PC Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice and easy to use, but I have a question, I have not found a place where can I place this question: is it possible synchronize the Lightning agenda with a Pocket PC ?

It's a perfect PIM together with Funambol and my Pocket PC.

Best Calendar Add-on for Thunderbird. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good system, allow my to reply to events for Outlook and Google. Works good for my single calendar events, not sure about recurring. :) There are a few quirks, but its a work in progress and it's free.
I'm using the nightly build with Thunderbird Beta 3.03b, which can be found here (the Google provider is also available there):

Usefull in daily working without Microsoft or Lotus.
Only found problem in periodical tasks, if there is change from / to day light saving time in the duration of the task.
Will still use it, did not found alternative solution and are waiting for the next versions.

Those who have given this four or five stars obviously do not use it for recurring tasks. For one-off tasks, yes at least four stars but for recurring tasks it is lucky to get one. There are at least three major issues which make it all but unusable for recurring tasks. I do hope this gets fixed soon as I want to use it.

Mooie en goedwerkende agenda die naadloos aansluit op Thunderbird.
Ben er erg mee ingenomen.

I use Thunderbird for a long time. And you can use this link to download a version of lightning which works with the Beta 3.0b of thunderbird. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/
Hope you enjoy this

Lightning for Thunderbird 3? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I worked for a longtime with lightning on Thunderbird 2. I hope there will be soon a version for Thunderbird 3. I really miss this add-on after installing the beta version of the new Thunderbird.

Keep up the good work. For me only Mozilla web applications!

Best way for Lightning! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was having the same problem, It gets lost and it doesn't appear in the add-on folder. But what I did is this. I downloaded Lightning file on the desktop and then drag and drop it in Thunderbird. I worked out beautifully. The way you download in to the desktop: On the Mozilla browser go to tools, then click on options, click save files and then click on browse, click on desktop, then click okay, and the Okay again.

HALP! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I need a little help here...I've downloaded this add-on for XP to a half different locations on my computer, and when I go thru the installation process, I can't find the file anywhere! It's like it's vanished off my HDD.

I have this A/O on another machine, and I love it! But not being able to find the downloaded file is driving me nuts!

Any help?

Thanks!

Hi!
I loved the addon for Thunderbird 2.0.X. At the moment, I'm testing Thunderbird 3 b3, so it would be great if you update your addon on a version that works with the current beta.

Thank you

Enigmail and Lightning are both great addons. Sadly all 64 bits users will have to wait......until?
