CalDav sync broken with TB 45.6.0 Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Lightning will publish events to a CalDav server, but won't receive updates made by other clients.
TB 45.6.0, Lightning 4.7.6
Doesn't work with TB 45.6.0 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Lightning stopped syncing my google calendar, even after removing calendar and adding again, so I removed Lightning and tried reinstalling after updating TB to 45.6.0. After I install, it tries to restart TB, but TB will not open. The process runs but the window never appears. I have tried rebooting, reinstalling, reinstalling TB with no change in outcome. To resolve, I have to open TB in safe mode, at which point Lightning is no longer found, then TB will open normally again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7.4).

Please correct timezone for Turkey (Istanbul) in Lightning Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Time in Turkey is given by UTC+03:00 year-round. This time is also called Turkey Time (TRT). The time is currently same as in the Arabia Standard Time and Moscow Time zone. Turkey Time was adopted by the Turkish government on September 8, 2016. It is also in use in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
So, it must be:
We are making use of the olson timezones data, which is updated regularly. The latest development version of Lightning uses the most recent changes and should have timezones updated (slightly different probably, but the result would be the same). I agree it would be great to get timezone updates out to existing versions quicker though.
Auriez vous une solution ? Merci
Incorporating Gmail Reminders? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Any chance a future release will allow users to pull in Google's new "Reminders" as well as tasks and events? That would be SUPER handy. Honestly, I'm surprised no one has asked about this yet (unless I'm looking in the wrong place?). Anyhow, great work! This add-on works great for me! Will be making a contribution as soon as "Reminders" start showing up!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7.4).
Incompatibility to TB through time Rated 4 out of 5 stars
At one time TB and Lightning were fully compatible and the last one was "included" in some way into TB. But then TB continued beeing developed (now they are distributing V 50 Beta 3) while Lightning remains incompatible to TB 49, the one I have currently installed. As long as was able to use both together, I was really happy and satisfied using them. It would be ideal to have both tools integrated (as it was for a short time) or made compatible in such a way, so that a user must not worry if he uses "automatic updates" (which was my problem). Do you have any suggestions for me until a Lightning version compatible with TB 49 appears? Thanks! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7.4).
Lightning is still integrated into Thunderbird, this has not changed. If it is not the case for your installation, I'd suggest contacting support.
Needed improvements Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I like TB a lot, been using it for years. My suggestions regarding "Snooze for" on the "Reminders" list - it should have:
1) also "weeks" on the pull-down list
2) fully customizable list of the default values above and extended to 10 or more positions
Incessant freezeup make this unuseable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I agree with "I Give Up". A great tool but incessant freeze up makes it entirely unuseable. Sadly that leaves Thunderbird as only an email program not a full featured personal manager. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7).

Workaround Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Oddly, it seems to work when the Lighbird addon is installed & enabled, Using Lightbird means I have an insufferable popup window for my calendar instead of tab integration, but at least I have my calendar back ...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7).
I Give Up Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Well Thunder bird updates and Lightning stops working again.
I expect it's fixable; but I've got a desktop widget that does a decent job of linking up with google calendar, so I think I'll go with that; and return Thunderbird to just being a mail client.

Installed without warning, and breaks Thunderbird add-ons Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This add-on was added with a Thunderbird update without prompting me to approve. With the latest update of Thunderbird 45.1.1 one of my essential add-ons was broken. Thanks, Mozilla. Two hours of lifetime wasted while trying to detect the misbehaviour and repair addon functionality.
The solution was to disable Lightning. Do not (!) remove it because it might come back with the next update.
Mozilla staff: Stop giving me something I didn't ask for without prompting me.
It would have been interesting to know which add-on Lightning has broken. Lightning is now an integral part of Thunderbird and if the few UI elements it adds are really bothersome you can still disable it.
Great Product Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Have used it with dedicated CalDav Server as well as Google Calendar, no problems. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7).
New version seams unsigned for TB 45.1.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
For some reason I cannot install the Lightning plugin because its not signed. Is there a plan to update the version so that it works with TB 45.1.0? That would be very nice because I use it daily. Thanks, Julian! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7).
Calendar data to be stored on another drive Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I have used the software for a while now and I am very happy with it. Please provide an option to store the calendar data in a location selected by user (Thunderbird already has that facility). This will enable the users to save it regularly with other data. C drive is saved infrequently by most people and moving the Tbird profile to another location is too complicated. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.7).
This is already possible, although maybe not as easy as it could be. There are two options, one would be to move your whole profile to a different drive, the other would be to use an .ics file instead of the local storage backend. The former would be preferable. Ask in support for details if you need help.
"Show Calendar Week" Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Où trouve-t-on la case à décocher "afficher le calendrier de la semaine"? Je ne trouve pas.
merci pour votre aide.
Bonjour, the options is in Preferences > Calendar > Views, right next to "start the week on".
"Show Calendar Week" must be deactivated Rated 5 out of 5 stars
"Show Calendar Week" is no more nessesary with Lightning 4.7 and causes much trouble. E.g. the grid is empty, the menu is disabled (greyed out), etc.
If its possible, the author should deactivate "Show Calendar Week" automaticly, or at least give a warning.
Calendar grid empty after upgrade to TB 45 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I love TB and Lightning is just perfect. However, now, we are getting into trouble: Lightning 4.7 is working (calendar on the side works and shows the entries, and all calendars are named on the left), but the main window with calendar grid is and stays empty. All buttons on top are grey, so no way to synchronize or do anything else. I de-installed Lightning and re-installed it. But no help even after restart of Thunderbird. This must be urgently taken care of as it is vital for using Thunderbird. Thanks for it!
Thanks to "testbutton", this issue is solved: Unselect "show Calendar Week" in the Calendar menu. It makes the calendars appear.
