Day 67 of my 1990 Trans-Canada cycling adventure saw me ride 179 kilometres from Hillcrest Resort to Fort Frances in northwestern Ontario province, the third longest day's ride thus far. Highlights included breakfast at the White Otter Inn in Atikokan, sharing the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches of four young women cyclists from Wisconsin, a late lunch at June's Place in Mine Centre and sleeping under the stars in Pithers Point Park beside Rainy Lake in Fort Frances.
