is not helpful in describing what this add-on does, especially to people (like me) who have never heard of Okopipi.

Could you instead change the description that people first read to the first paragraph of Habu's full add-on page:

"Reports spam to the SpamCop, the FTC, FDA, SEC, ACMA and/or Knujon.com. It also allows you to put in your own custom addresses to report spam to such as your ISP or corporate abuse address."

And remove, "Please be sure to visit the homepage..." and "Support can be found at..." as these two paragraphs aren't part of saying what the add-on is about.

I installed the report button and it does nothing at all.

I will research this bug under protest. Every other add-on I have installed just seemed to work. I am on the latest TB from ubuntu 10.4

May re-review if I can fix it easily...

I am mantaining a forked & updated version of Habu:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/108530

It works with most recent Thunderbird

This is one of my favorite plug-ins. Even if progress is slow reporting it to the supposed "authorities", it makes me feel better to report it. i use it to submit spam to our our onw XBL too. It has alwasy worked flawlessly, but diappeared after upgrading to TB 3,0. I reinstalled after and was able to get my report icon back, but it does not appear to do anything. Please fix it or tell us why it works for some people and not others as I really miss it.

Hey Ythan--thanks for the fix for Habu--works great.

This is a great extension, but as some people already mentioned it is not compatible with Thunderbird 3.0. I created an updated build which you can get at http://www.shroomery.org/ythan/habu-1.8.6.5a-tb.xpi. Please understand that I'm not the original author and this is an unofficial, unsupported release. But for the time being it seems to work well enough for me. :)

habu 1.8.6.5 does not work (no functionality when you press button) wrom within thunderbird 3.0 final (all win32).

the compatibility matrix here on amo is plain false. it does not even work with tb 3.0, let alone anything later than the 2.0.0.x branch.

This should be a recommended add-on. Please consider making this SeaMonkey compatible. Thanks for continuing to work on this important project.

Thanks for the extension. The possibility to use custom address is very useful.

Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0B4 Stopped Working :( ... I am so glad somebody continued this add-on.. Works in 2.x.x Thunderbird.. Knujon for all..

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is really simple and great! But the only problem why i'll probably still use the knujon plugin instead of this one, it's because it doesn't allow to move the spam mails to the folder we want after reporting them (example: i move them to a Junk folder which is then scanned by spamassassin to autolearn=spam).

Great extension but it has stopped working since I upgraded Tb 2.0.0.18, when might there be an update.

Is this a dead project?
I have Habu running in TB 2.0.0.14 thanks to the hack.
My settings are not saved in Habu, when I close TB my changes in Habu options are lost and the previous wrong settings return when I open TB again.

So far, this is working very smoothly, although only time will tell if it's actually effective in reducing spams. At least I feel satisfied that I'm able to report them to someone in "authority" fairly easily. This version did not work on my version of Thumderbird, but many thanks, "gr33n3r " for your hack. I'm on TB 2.0.0.12 and it seems to work very well.

I use this all the time and it's GREAT.
But have to give it a not good review because it doesn't work on Thunderbird 2.x.x.x without a simple/silly hack.

The suggestion to hackedit max version number here works for me:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1758037&forum_id=658717
for Thunderbird 2.0.0.9
I put the hacked habu .xpi here:
http://www.dspsrv.com/~jamesc/torture/home/grease/
If you use it your computer might explode of course.

No trouble here. All spam is deleted after reporting. By use of Habu, I learned, that an account at the addressed spam-fighting services isn't even needed to send my spam there.
