Major Problem - Blocks ReCAPTCHA Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I love that it blocks the mess that Ghostery, Google Privacy, Disconnect, DoNotTrackMe, Social Privacy Protector, and TrackMeNot doesn't catch from Google but ReCAPTCHA is something that is necessary for many sites to work.
Error on Facebook Rated 1 out of 5 stars

good last resort Rated 4 out of 5 stars
this is a good addon. if all of my other blocking addons don't block every thing this picks up what they all missed, same as twitter and Facebook disconnect. unfortunately it is not working with the latest version of Firefox aurora 27.0a2 crashing on start up forcing in to safe mode, I hope it works once more in the future along with twitter and Facebook disconnect. UPDATE:THEY ARE WORKING ONCE MORE
Bug October 2013 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Sorry for reporting a bug here, but it keeps hanging mozilla...
It works if you fallow the directions Rated 3 out of 5 stars
IT does what it supposed to do.What I found is most videos are blocked but if you fallow these - Instructions: "The add-on displays an icon in the location bar if a page initiates Google requests. You can block or unblock the requests by clicking the icon. Your preference will be remembered the next time you’re on the site." Reading things helps a lot.... IT doesn't save the site as it says(or I'm doing something wrong). Which makes It annoying to have to unblock the videos every time...
works too well Rated 3 out of 5 stars
IT blocks embedded youtube videos
and also maps
will give a better rating when this is fixed
it should be a little more lenient
you could be able to have some options to choose what to block from the google disconnect icon in the url bar
Google Disconnect Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Nice idea but it prevents Google maps from displaying. I just get a blank area where I expect to see a map. Disable this add-on and the maps display as normal.
Blocks embedded Youtube videos Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I really like the idea of the add-on and don't see any other problems, but what really prevents me from using it is that it blocks ALL embedded Youtube videos. Embedded Youtube video? Pff, white space is better, in this add-ons opinion!
Blocks Captchas (ReCaptcha) Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Works fine, except for me, it blocks 'Re-Captcha' captcha images from appearing on some of the sites I frequent. Took some time turning off addons 1-by-1 to isolate Google Disconnect as the issue. Checked on the background for Re-Captcha; et voila, "...acquired by Google in September 2009". Now it makes sense! :D
Video blocking Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It blocks all embedded Youtube videos for me as well. This did not *always* happen, but I can not pinpoint when it started.
problem 4 me Rated 2 out of 5 stars
users need to be advised that this add-on blocks icons or "cells" as they are called on the allmyfaves website on your personal homepage after you sign in. the all-my-faves website does not belong to google.
Limited Functionality Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I use NoScript and DoNotTrackMe so I thought I would give Google Disconnect a shot. As far as I know it works okay. My one issue is that you cannot whitelist a Google page you want to work for a frequently used website. The site I want to work is Google maps so I have to make a couple clicks every time I visit that site - not that hard but a pain, and one I believe should be unnecessary.
I uninstalled Google Disconnect and tried straight-up Disconnect 2. I found that even harder to use and with even less functionality. Disconnect 2 told me there were around 120 Google requests and the only way to allow Google maps was to whitelist the entire lot. At least with NoScript and other extensions you can generally enable / disable one-one, and not have to live with the wholesale allow / block. I thought that was crazy so I removed Disconnect 2.
I reinstalled Google Disconnect and will just have to live with clicking to allowing Google maps... unless I get tired of the nonsense.
Otherwise, Mozilla WTF! I search "Google Disconnect" and "Google Disconnect" IS NOT the best match. I have to search through your 327 results to find the right extension. Seriously?

Embedded media disappears.
Did developers even test this thing?
What embedded media?

I don't know if it really works to keep Google away, or not. I DO know that when I disabled it, all embedded videos reappeared. When disconnect was enabled many videos were MIA.
Full Tested Google, Facebook & Twitter Disconnect Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have fully tested the Google Disconnect v242 add-on and the developer description is exactly as described... Work perfectly fine with Firefox browser v19 but "Gaianeh" comment posted on June 8, 2012 and me have the same blocked issue with Facebook when trying to watch Youtube videos, if this happen to you then to solve this problem just follow instructions.
Google Disconnect: Disable Firefox add-on from extension manager.
Facebook Disconnect: Disable AdBlock Plus v223 everywhere option.
Twitter Disconnect: Found no problem watching videos on Facebook.
Also some websites are block from seeing the image captcha code,if so then simply select the unblock preference in the location bar and that will restore the image captcha code back... Now for those who having trouble saving Google Disconnect preference its because you need to have your web browser cookies enable or if you have remove all the old cookies files using Firefox "Clear Recent History" option then all your preference will go back to the original default setting... Enjoy!
Easy & works Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A great plugin for blocking Google services you don't want. Works easy without any configuration.
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
does its job very well...however, blocks captchas and does not save your preferences when you unblock. if it didn't block captchas and saved preferences, would be a PERFECT add-on. However, in its current state, serves only to make you pull your hair out.
Reblocking Google once it's unblocked. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
How does one block Google once it's been unblocked? Even on this page, I had unblock Google in order to register.
