Please do separator between the "Additional Bar" and the Main Bar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for a great extension!

Please do separator between the "Additional Bar" and the Main Bar (on which the Home button), the same as that between the Main Bar and the Menu Bar.

Same for Thunderbird? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a truly excellent add-on for Firefox. Is there something similar for Thunderbird?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.9.6).

I have plans to create an add-on for Thunderbird in the future, but I have no ETA for that.
So far I've experimented with squared tabs and blue Aero colors for some of TBs ui parts on Win7/8(.1), nothing more.

Apart from the tab appearance there is not much, that other add-ons not already restore.
I know of add-ons that move the menubar to the top and create a Fx-like appbutton in the top left of the window. Further more one of my other add-ons (Classic Toolbar Buttons) restores the old button appearance and also allows to switch icons.

p.s.2
How can i answer on your replay on this page?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.9.6).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

I never heard of such an issue and I'm sure I have not added any code to CTR that changes/affects history.
Are you sure your browser does not crash, if CTR is uninstalled?

Try to install this:
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
and the latest CTR build from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/classicthemerestorer/versions/
Portable Firefox won't change your current Fx setup.

Disable "Hardware Acceleration" (Firefox preferences -> Advanced -> General -> Browsing -> Use Hardware acceleration...) and "OMTC" (CTR prefwindow -> Advanced -> first option).

Edit
You can't answer here only edit your review. You can write me an email or come to support forums.
Yes, send me your crash report and exported CTR settings.

Necessary add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, one has to install a separate add-on just to get the previous reasonable and consistent interface back in Firefox. Anyway, good job done by the add-on developer(s), just see the rating.

Please, add the functions of the addons "Tab Mix Plus" ! Thank you!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.9.6).

I'm afraid thats not possible.

CTR is not primarily a tab add-on, but it offers many important features (e.g. tab color settings) other tab add-ons can not properly provide for tabs offered by CTR (because they don't have to).

TMP has many many settings that have nothing to do with CTRs goal, so using CTR and TMP together is something users could do, if they rely on TMPs features.

The old preferences window is still there, but has now to be enabled. Look for the preference in 'Advanced' category on CTRs prefwindow.

Um excelente add-on para quem quer trazer opções já retiradas do navegador há anos, as quais nunca deveriam ter sido retiradas...

Four stars. Excellent addon if you find the current firefox style rendering FF useless. anyway, I posted a review on this before but it disappeared. I also tried to post in the support "forum" but it is a thread 153 pages long and when I tried to login my password wouldn't work and when I tried to register it said the e-mail was already in use. There was no way to retrieve a password because they also required a user name and since I must have registered three years+ ago and haven't used it since I wouldn't know it. Anyway, once again. There needs to be an option for a permanent go button ie. even after pages "load". Frequently, in real life, connections are dodgy and the go button does what the reload button cannot, it "kicks" the connection. Tweaking the userChrome file no longer solves the error of FF from taking away the permanent go button. Neither "Classic Reload-Stop-Go" add-on nor "Classic Toolbar Buttons" solve this problem, they only change the skin of what is already there, a go button that disappears and turns into a reload or stop button. Secondly, the bookmarks bar will not wrap when dragged to the command bar. They disappear and turn into a double arrow that drops down to nothing. They do wrap when on the menu bar with a double arrow >> dropdown menu that works. Before CTR they could not be moved to the menu bar so CTR could have a fix for this.

Edit: Excellent! Thanks the renewed code for the userChrome.css file works. Still had the old code in there but it wasn't affecting it.

Edit2: Ok tried the suggestion of removing the chevrons and adding the flexible space (after the bookmarks?) It didn't work, both the bookmarks and chevron disappeared and the space was blank. However, it works on the menu bar and the dedicated bookmarks bar of course. Must be something different about the navigation bar.

You can always register a new account on Mozillazine with a different email address. ;-)

The add-ons Classic Reload-Stop-Go and Classic Toolbar Buttons were not supposed to make the go button always visible, but this code can achieve that for go-button in urlbar when used in userChrome.css or Stylish:

* #urlbar-go-button {
visibility: visible !important;
}

Bookmark items could be moved even before CTR. Setup a new profile, do not install any add-ons and try yourself. CTR has not altered bookmarks items appearance or their toolbar behavior.
If you move them to navigation toolbars end and they get moved into a >> submenu automatically, you can try two things.
1. use the CTR option to prevent >> from appearing (might not always works with all items)
2. add a flexible space as last item of navigation toolbar

This is about the Firefox menu >> on navigation toolbar. Bookmarks have also an own submenu with smaller >> signs.

A must have for people who preferred the old style. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for existing. Add-ons like this many people still even use firefox. Without this, I would have switched to Chrome and by god, I never want to have to do that. This makes Firefox what it should be. Thank you for making such a wonderous add-on.

W/O CTR, would have abandoned FF! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Was about to give up when FF dumped their config, & abandoned many features that allowed my config.
Was ready to dump FF.
After considerable research found CTR and it has rescued FF.
I HOPE FF APPRECIATES THIS!
