"How to Install" is useless - after step 2 there is no "Install" button, so it cannot be clicked.

I have repeatedly sought to install this dictionary in Thunderbird, never successfully. Though I receive a message that the dictionary was installed, I receive no prompt to restart Thunderbird. When I have restarted, the US dictionary option is the only one which displays. (The dictionary does work with Firefox, but naturally I am more concerned with spell checking my own email.)

How to Install Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Installing is actually really easy just not well explained.

1. Download the add-on to your desktop.

2. Open the Add-on's window from Tools on the Menu bar

3. Simply drag-and-drop the download into the Add-on's window

4. When instructed restart Thunderbird.

The built-in dictionaries of Firefox and Thunderbird are not that good. Often the guesses it comes up with are hopelessly off target.
If you compare the spell checker of IESpell for example with Firefox you'll be amazed just how bad the Firefox one is.
The developers should examine IESpell and learn how to make a good spell checker.

Rubbish Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Why doesn't it work? or at least it seems to for some, any reason why this is? It just won't install.

Doesn't seem to want to work with my 2.0.0.14. No error messages. A fixed version is available at http://west-penwith.org.uk/blog/archives/197

Excellent! Job well done Mr Tyndall, I wanted a British one for general use but installed Fx with US language pack so I could use that for HTML and lit projects. It's a great dictionary and is up to a high and modern standard. I have used it on Fx 2.0.0.14, Fx 3 RC1 and now RC2 with no problems at all. Top marks! Did those whom could not get it working select it via right click menu when typing?

In the long description this addon claims it
"Works with:
* Firefox: 2.0 – 3.0.*"

Well it doesnt.
I have tried installing it with Firefox 2.0.014 and also with Firefox 3.0-rc2
and in both cases it simply says it is only compatible with versions from 2.0a1 to 2.0b1.
Somebody really needs to create a working British English dictionary add-on.

This claims it works with FireFox 2.0
I have 2.0.0.14 and it says that this is not compatible.

'English...English' Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Why don't you just call it "English English Dictionary", or proper english?

Great for sorting your all your spelling mistakes even in on-line forms and internet email. Your words are underlined in red just how MS Word does it!! Gives me confidence to type and not look like a nob.
