Why was Allow HTML Temp created?
Ever since the birth of Thunderbird (before version 0.1) I'm contributing to the German Thunderbird translation. There are many users who still read mail in plain text mode by default. To switch between plain text mode and HTML mode, it's necessary to do multiple clicks, which can be quite annoying. Allow HTML Temp therefore offers a button that does everything with one click - simply and easily.
This - from the perspective of some users - poor behavior Thunderbirds has still not changed, so I continue to maintain the add-on.
What's next for Allow HTML Temp
The add-on needs to be continuously adapted to internal changes in new versions of Thunderbird. It is desirable (for a number of users) to have folder based HTML / plain text settings or even the permanent permit for HTML messages, which it has allowed before. Since I am not a professional programmer, I can not make any promises, but once I find a way to achieve these functions, I would like to provide it.
