My Reviews

Show InOut

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It would be easier than to have to configure all of my "From" addresses. By default this addon gets most of my Sent emails wrong, thinking they are incoming. If it's in "Sent", it's outgoing!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.0).

Search as list

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can finally get my search results unthreaded and sorted the way I want, with zero clicking! Definitely 5 stars for making this possible.

There are some rough edges, the options dialog isn't super clear but gets the job done. Disabling the threaded view only works if you select the "Thread" column to be visible - a bit funny that it has to be visible in order to make it redundant, but hey, I'll accept anything to get rid of the threaded view!

Kudos to the author who fixed a small issue pretty much the same day when I first reported it.

Multifox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Cannot believe not a single browser has this built-in. It's a must have feature for anyone who has more than one user account anywhere!

Only comment is that I wish I could make it more obvious when I'm in a certain profile, as it's too easy to forget. I tried giving profiles really long names, but Multifox won't grow beyond a certain width, sadly.

InlineDisposition

Not once since installing this addon was I forced to download something I wanted to just view. If I want to download, I just Alt+Click it, but alas this requires an about:config tweak due to a weird decision by the Mozilla team to disable this behaviour by default... there's always Ctrl+S though if you can't Alt+Click!

Manually sort folders

Granted, it's something that's only needed because nobody can be bothered to implement this in Thunderbird directly, but hey, it works! The addon is also nice and polished, it's actually pleasant to use. Thanks, Jonathan!

HashColouredTabs+

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It doesn't work with TreeStyleTabs, and it doesn't work with a clean profile in Firefox 29.

Abstract Black

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Looks nice but is cut off on the left on my 2560x1440 screen.

OpenDownload²

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's a great addon, but no longer works with "Open in Browser" installed (no "Run" button for executables). I know, it's not the addon's fault; Firefox simply has a non-existent extensibility model.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.2.1-signed).

DKIM Verifier

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works!

Looking forward to a more polished UI. In particular, I'd like it to be visible at all times, and to highlight the "From" email's domain as either green (verified), orange (unsigned) or red (verified-wrong).

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.0).

Suspend background tabs

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good idea but currently not viable: too many websites break as a result. For example, YouTrack (a bugtracker) keeps reporting "connection lost". Looking forward to future versions that add support for a blacklist and/or a whitelist.
