The never ending story... Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Yup, another lost jewel. This is another example showing that there are some general problems with the whole add-ons concept as it was deployed here. 1) Open platforms produce products without any requirement for support. 2) Products are developed "on a whim" and when the novelty wears off, the product is abandoned.
3) There is no attempt at coordination and/or registration of products, resulting in multiple duplicates and even plagiarism. 4) There is no housekeeping and broken, outdated, non-functional, unsupported and unowned products are not culled. 5) There is no responsibility assigned and no repercussions for, well, anything. Open systems are great and the add-on concept is remarkable but this add-on is an example of how these concepts suck. There needs to be some accountability and if nothing else, requirements for abandoned projects to be removed or moved to an archive.
Finally! A fix for this anoyance! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Time after time I have researched this problem and all I could find was someone suggesting "how to's" for setting Firefox options or some story about the wrong MIME type. This is THE fix and it puts control of Save Dialogs back in the user's hands! Thank You!
