Right Click Link New Tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This worked perfectly and i loved it, then i stupidly disabled it and it wouldn't work again, rightclick just got the usual submenu 'open in new tab, open in new container tab (what's one of those?) etc', and i've deleted my old profile and reinstalled all my addons, reinstalled, disabled enabled, everything, and still the same. So it would be a clear 6/5 but i went and ruined it, let me be a warning to others! Well i now managed to disabled container tabs, but it said it was already disabled, but before that option kept coming up. Anyway, i'm not disabling it ever again like i used to the old firefox version :)

works so far Rated 5 out of 5 stars

you have to customise so the button's on the toolbar, then click it and enter the text you want to block - any text, of your choosing, minimum 6 characters. I'm using it for game of thrones, so no GoT or Arya, but otherwise working fine. First test: Jon Snow the news reporter (UK) entire paragraph was blacked out and i had to disable it to finish my article about politics in Turkey! It's restartless, so that's no trouble. Nice to know it works, and nice that you can add as much as you want.
I have now been using it for several weeks and it works great. Because i added 20 odd words to the block list, it can slow the browser down a bit, so i switch it off when there's no risk (shopping, banking) and switch it back on when reading newspapers, and i'm going to remove some items (eg obscure characters). This is the only blocker that isn't twitter and facebook specific which works (naming no names, but i gave the others a fair try), as an oldie who uses the internet to read bbc & guardian news, i get GoT spoilers everywhere!
Thanks a lot for your reply, it's fine as it is, it doesn't need improving i think :)

Use the 2016 version! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

there's a new version, about:addons-memory2016 which so far works fine for me. Thanks to the original developer, great addon

Image Block

back to working perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

somehow manages to kill even on-the-fly generated images and impossible-to-block sites like the guardian! (using in Windows)

NB users experiencing problems should note: if disabling or uninstalling, you have to switch it to show images before doing so, not leave blocked then disable (at least in previous versions) I particularly like that this addon does not automatically reload a page every time you change permissions, as i use it to cope with poor bandwidth! Highly recommend for this

gone a bit bonkers since the January changes, but still working

Calomel SSL Validation

surprising results Rated 5 out of 5 stars

small charities with feeble websites have top security, some rather important pages (finance + big so tasty to cybercriminals) don't.... interesting. About-addons-memory says it takes no memory up, so i'm keeping it. Very nice, thanks

About Pages List

Have loads of addons and fast fox by fast switch on and off with this addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

i went with this over foxyabout because i prefer the list and it can pick up additional about pages i installed as addons (about:addons-memory is the only one truthfully). But i only really want to see the about:addons menu usually, immediately in one click no submenu or rightclicking, and about:addons Button and about:addons Launcher both do this, so if i find i'm using it solely to do that, i may replace it with that to save one click (now that is the definition of lazy. Plus i'm no power user). I like addons but i don't like slowness so i switch a lot of them on occasionally and off, with restartless addons plus this you can have the best of both worlds. MAFF is amazing for instance but rarely necessary.

Bottom UI

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been searching so long for an addon like this (finally found via google due to name) it's great, works better than i ever imagined. It really helps my back & neck pain! Simple but complete genius. (One interaction: with NoScript menus when hovering over NoScript icon, important when using payment gateways for the first time (rare), so just disable then). I've been using it 2 months now and it feels more genius the longer you use it.

Tabs On Bottom

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

my god i love you! i have so much neck strain and back problems which you've helped a lot instantly (not solved, that requires a divorce from my computer)! immediate favourite. Also solves problems of interaction between addons issues with side tabs. Side tabs better for viewing 2 billion tabs if you must do so. My only problem with this addon is the name: i've been searching just to put the tabs at the bottom for ages, i only found this by a startpage websearch! As it puts everything at the bottom, it's better than i imagined!

Bad Bird Blocker - Block Twitter Advertisement

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hides the ads, in my test to date. For the first time, i was beginning to hate twitter (business ads don't fit in a books, human rights and NHS privatisation timeline) and this has fixed that. Thanks a lot.

Excellent. Up there with e-cleaner(removes leftover junk) and CleanestAddonManager(displays) as addons you need to manage your addons addiction! To those saying 'how does this work': you go to the urlbar and type about:addons-memory in it, hit enter. this addon creates a new page that you see when you do that

Google Disconnect

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not sure what everyone's problem is. It blocks google. Google provide youtube, google maps & ReCaptcha, so it blocks those. You click the red urlbar icon, hit F5 to reload and voila, disabled on that page, couldn't be easier. Yes, if you filled out an entire page of form and then it's lost because you got to the ReCaptcha it's a really annoying, and if you're making a financial transaction it may be best to disable it (not as bad as NoScript blocking payment gateways) but it couldn't be easier to unblock it temporarily. Something like DoNotTrackMe might be more suitable if your choice between privacy and convenience is different.

Text MultiCopy

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works extremely well; clears history when pastes, unlike most addons. Not operated by context-menu options (delete history, disable etc) like some, so quicker. First you have to choose "Text Multicopy" in context menu after selecting text, then "Save to Clipboard" before you can paste it. You have to choose 'text multicopy' the first time, but after that whichever you context option choose makes no difference. The archive is deleted when you paste, no options on this, which suits me fine as i paste into Notepad++ if i want to save it. (I tick 'save within Notepad++', the top, 'usb stick' option, on installation, so saving is instant when pasted.) Has option to automatically copy and paste URL with your copy selection, which you can deselect, incredibly useful for students' bibliographies i would think. The addon only addon of this type that works for me. 'Append..' and 'Add more text' (names?) worked but didn't clear their history history, so rapidly become impossible! NB i rewrote this after the reply...

Has many essential features comparable addons don't, clear history, turn on and off etc, but only pasted the last copied thing into metapad for me. I'm sure it works and it's probably that i was using Pale Moon, or else it's for copying into other browsers, not my need.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works fine, but you cannot delete from the archive so paste your entire copy history, that i can discover. Perhaps by removing, reinstalling.

Append to Clipboard

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works fine, except that you cannot clear the memory ever that i can work out. Perhaps by removing and reinstalling. [after reply] Thanks a lot, i will use it now! Do not thank me, it is me who must thank you!
