v1.5.19 is borked Rated 3 out of 5 stars
inert and useless. cannot enable flash.
Firefox 42.0 / Flash 184.108.40.206 / Win 7 x64
still messed [UPDATE] Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Firefox 35.0.1 / Forecastfox v2.2.4. it's Saturday 1/31. my "Now:" was stuck on last Tuesday (presumably the day Firefox updated to v35.01). i closed Firefox, renamed "forecastfox.sqlite" > "forecastfox.sqlite.BAK". opened Firefox, reconfig'd my Forecastfox prefs. STILL behind but apparently only by 12 hours. my "Now:" says 11:50pm, it's 10:59am as i type this. everything else seems to be working but now i have to go elsewhere for current conditions, possibly even (gasp) outside. looks like Forecastfox is doomed. if i knew how to get it up to current Firefox specs i'd fork it. maybe some day.
UPDATE: current conditions ("Now:") were briefly only a few minutes behind real time. looked good. i hit "Reload Weather Data" and "Now:" reverted back to 11:50pm last night with corresponding temp. great.
good and getting better Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Been using for @ 3 yrs. Does what it says, does it well. Thumbs-up on the new interface improvements. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed).
I used to love it, but I had to kill it Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This was great and still would be if it wasn't for the fact it no longer opens all tabs. When i load a session showing 118 tabs i only get the last dozen tabs or so. The others simply aren't there even though i can see them in Session Manager(add-on) preview before loading. I got them to re-appear once by accessing TabGroups (native) but that isn't working anymore. Firefox is fine otherwise. This has been happening the last few weeks. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.14.2014051101.1-signed).
post reply edit Rated 4 out of 5 stars
greatly appreciate the effort, it works ... but it's gotten waaaaayyyy too complicated way too quickly. what is this nonsense at right end of bar? numbers numbers numbers. **TMI**. thanks but no thanks. what is it called? how do i make it go away?
thanks for the reply and instructions. like i said, it works great. i always appreciate more flexibility in user options and that's definitely the case with this add-on, but i still recommend more 'breadcrumbs' or whatever it takes to make customization options easier to follow. several tabs across the top, sub-tabs to those ... hard to tell what they mean exactly and easy to get lost. but again, it works great.
WAS grindingly slow, now fixed and fast Rated 5 out of 5 stars
all problems experienced below have been 100% FIXED in ACM 5.7.
thanks, and great work / 5 stars.

Windows 7 x64Using Firefox 26.0Intel QX6850/8GB DDR2/SSDI put Firefox thru it's paces - at any time i have 100+ tabs open spread among several TabGroups representing different projects. Of course re-starting Firefox only loads pinned tabs and the last tab on the active TabGroup.I've been using ACM for a few months, it always does good job finding and clearing target cookies. But it's S-L-O-W. Upon opening the ACM add-on, Task Manager shows Firefox as "Not responding" for at least 1 minute before ACM allows me to type domain name into search filter. And once i start typing it grinds again between individual letters. Seemed to get worse over time until finally today it failed to respond after @ 5 minutes so I had to crash Firefox. When it came back up ACM worked but again slow as molasses between individual typed letters in search filter. As a part of weekly hygiene I completely clear the following:- Cookies- Cache- Active Logins- Site Prefs- Form/Search History- Offline Website DataI'm sure it's due to the heavy demands i make of Firefox, but Firefox itself is fine, as are all other add-ons.+3 stars because it does what it promises, so the design is fundamentally sound ... but it has serious resource-efficiency issues (-2 stars).
shame about the toolbar icon Rated 2 out of 5 stars
PROs: i'll take on faith (and from Lifehacker) that it works.CONs: UNLOCK THE TOOLBAR ICON. like others here i am disabling until i specifically need it for one of the sites.please do not try to control our user experience.
EDIT: Hola (Developer) replied, says they're "working on enabling to move the icon". thanks, appreciate the effort & communication, will update review again if you solve this.
great but 'meh' support Rated 4 out of 5 stars
great add-on, love how it allows to resume downloads, which isn't native to Firefox (AFAIK).
i'm trying to view my DTA history, track server download times, no idea where to find this. unfortunately the developer's Help & FAQ sub-pages are down:

it's back. excellent. it'll be even better once the developer weeds out the defunct shortening services (see his note), but i'm glad he didn't let that stop him from releasing an updated version for FFox4. i still prefer this to all other URL shortening add-ons. i like being able to see the shortened URL in the address bar. This user has a previous review of this add-on.

it would also be nice to be able to export my Menu Editor settings for other Firefox installations. gracias. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
seconded: user control over size of edit window Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I strongly second the feature request by Steph to allow re-size/maximize of the tiny edit window. With all my add-ons it just isn't practical scrolling up and down, hunting and pecking among all these similar menu entries. Need to see the whole thing (or at least as much as my screen permits). This is a bedrock solid add-on that would be even better if this confinement were removed.
time to bail on this addon Rated 2 out of 5 stars
way too many popular shortener services failing with this thing in the last 45 days or so (goo.gl, bit.ly, etc). last update was almost a year ago, no new news from developer ... clearly "Shorten URL" has been abandoned. a shame too, because it was pretty feature-rich. i took the advice of a previous reviewer and hopped to CutyFox. seems pretty good, but i'd still be using this one if it hadn't been orphaned. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.6).
no "import session" option? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
... or if there is such a feature it's so hard to find that a lot of people here are having the same problem. truly great addon otherwise - a total difference maker - but i assumed from all the other excellent features that TGM was authored with the same forethought as "Session Manager" and "Tab Mix Plus", but no dice. now unfortunately i can't import a really important session from another machine i no longer have access to. it's a killer. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2010.06.20.02).
frustrating; can't be trusted Rated 1 out of 5 stars
**healthy, stable installation of XP Pro SP3 +FFox 3.0.4**
been using this for at least 18 months. immediately after initial default installation i moved the data files to a preferred sub-directory and pointed the program to that DIR. got errors every time i opened/closed the program for weeks. not sure why/how but they eventually slowed to a trickle. guess it's a slow learner.
try to add or delete an items. error: "Could not find the selected item. Please try again." (repeats twice each time). i've been trying to delete the same item forever but all this buggy program does is delete the top item in the category. i must have deleted 5-10 'innocent' items before i figured that out. the item i want to delete just sits there, laughing.
after 'forcing' a new item onto the list i get the same error as above when i attempt to generate list.
after annual reformat/reinstallation of Windows the same problems come back immediately.
on a less critical (but still important) note, users should be able to reduce font on the generated list, even if only by using Ctrl+-. further print options wouldn't hurt either. but like i said, these are options to worry about once a program is stable.
i just wanted something to keep a running 'aisle-by-aisle' grocery list, as this add-on suggests. GLG has promise and ambitious higher-functions but it simply can't be relied upon for the fundamental core task of maintaining a running custom grocery list.
