Bamboo Feed Reader

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Just that. I see the "will be when thunderbird is restarted" button but hitting it restores thunderbird to the bamboo-less state, that it was in before.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.1.1-signed).

Enigmail

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I write the same ol' review about Enigmail as the last four times.

Works great with any thunderbird-version that I have ever used, 10.0.2 included, and 64bits included and what not.

Dear users, try to install the right version and do not ask for simple deliverance. We all must learn and keep our eyes open to survive. I had made the same mistake once, but at least came back to apologize.

ENIGMAIL WORKS AS IT ALWAYS DID.

Seeks.fr OpenSearch plug-in

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What else can you say. The extension cannot do more, than call the seeks search engine and hit the search button for you. It does this pretty well and as there are no other promises made, it works 100% like expected. That is probably a quality that some miss with other software. Found this, my coffee is good, there is still some fuel to spill... a great day.

The version 1.1.2, built on Debian 64bits (gcc4.x) works flawlessly on Ubuntu 10.x, 64bits with TBird 3.1.7

Enigmail

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love Enigmail but chose to update Thunderbird. By *my own choice*, I cannot use Enigmail with a more current version of the MUA and *will either have to wait for a newer version of Enigmail* or *downgrade thunderbird* again.

Also, by choosing a car with only two seats, I am now unable to carry four other people around. Who is responsible?

I do not understand why I need this add-on. But, of course, I do. It is a strange thing, when you first need to complete a piece of offered software, before it becomes usable in the first place. Nobody forces me to use Firefox, you might say. But, alas, they do.This works. And with the help of this add-on, Firefox works, too.

But all in all... I am annoyed. You understand. Thanks.

I do not really understand why I need this add-on, but, -of course-, I do. It is a strange thing, when you have to complete a piece of offered software yourself, before it does the job... Well, nobody forces me to use Firefox, you might say. But, alas, they do.

Thanks. This works.

Enigmail

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Coming from an other era, all this ease of use makes me nervous, sometimes. We had to think a lot previously, when mail was to be encrypted. You do not think anymore with Enigmail. This probably means, that the tool works 100% as intended and my 8, by consequence, may be considered a slightly esotheric rating. Whatever.

Habu

No trouble here. All spam is deleted after reporting. By use of Habu, I learned, that an account at the addressed spam-fighting services isn't even needed to send my spam there.

Although there is not much to configure with this tool, this is where I like it most. Having found my favorit settings, it became habit-building.
