Version 2.0.4beta2 fixes all the bugs I noticed with the addon (including the missing delete, fwd, etc buttons).
Essential addon that should be a standard feature of Thunderbird. Many thanks to the developer for keeping this one maintained.
Needs Google Calendar support. And an un-Mozilla-reviewed addon with poor English makes me uncomfortable plunking my Google account info in to. But I'm a paranoid sort of guy.
Four stars. Using it to keep track of my Google Calendar. Would get 5 if I could add notes to google from the addon. The developers FAQ indicates that such functionality is impossible outside of the google interface (or a third party application) but I am able to sync both ways in Thunderbird's Lightning with the Google Provider addon. Surely whatever makes that addon work could be integrated in to ReminderFox?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.1).
Very nice theme indeed. A touch too light for my tastes but I fixed that with stylish. Particular kudos for the button icons. I can't stand esoteric or "fluffy" icons a lot of themes have. These are very simple and easy to discern what they represent. Keep up the good work! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
Excellent theme overall. Will become my new standard theme now that that Theme Which Shall Not Be Named got greedy.
Two points I'd like to see improved: The contrast on the main bar is I think a little too drastic. It's practically white and black. I'd really love to see the lighter half darkened a shade or two.
Secondly is the menus. They're "ok" but compared to the look and feel of the rest of the theme they kind of fall short. It just looks like someone did a black fill in MS Paint. If Mr. Mak would like to keep the menus simple then I would prefer they be a graphite grey colour instead of deep jet black.
Again though.. very very nice theme. Keep up the good work!
This is not so much of a "basic" theme as it is a "preview" theme. In effect the developer is posting this preview and using Mozilla's website as his own personal ad space.
I can see offering a premium theme with support for all the various addons and their own unique options menus but dropping the status bar? Scroll bar? Please. I was able to add those back in in about 30 seconds and I haven't touched css since the days of paying cash for a copy of Netscape Navigator. Not exactly a time consuming issue there.
Don't want to support your plethora of themes (or any themes) anymore? Fine. Want to ask for donations? Sure. Want to charge for a version dedicated to full addon support? Oky doky. Previewing your stuff on this site to nab people for that "internet monies"? Disgusting.
It fails to point out that not only do you get to pay for the full version but you also get to pay - the same amount - for every single update. As a Christian I'm sure the developer must be aware that God takes a dim view on rampant greed..
Why Mozilla hasn't started yanking his stuff for using them to make money I can't fathom. Maybe they aren't even aware of it yet.
Anyways, there are lots of beautiful themes out there. And from developers who do these projects for reasons other than wanting to make a personal fortune off of making a *free and open source* browser look a little prettier. Time to move on.
This addon has been dropped by the developer with perhaps one final update currently being pushed through. Here's to hoping someone else picks it up or creates something similar since this is the only addon that offers this type of service.
