I wish I could preview what the RSS notification is about, to decide whether I want to act on it instantly, or if it's something I can check out later.
Also, I have a master password set up, and opening the X-notifier options window always asks for my master password, even though I only use it for publicly available RSS feeds (no account credentials are saved in X-notifier options).
When having TabMixPlus installed, the FireGestures:UndoCloseTab command appears not to work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Works as advertised, but I really wish there was a possibility to disable the keyboard shortcut. I'm afraid to hit it by accident and restart the browser by accident, potentially losing work!
Scriptish and the Greasemonkey community give websites the functionality content providers are too busy to implement.
Only 4 stars because the toolbar button behaves oddly sometimes.
Because ad providers often don't respect content creators, and can even be a security / privacy risk, I recommend this add-on to every Firefox user I come across. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).
Great default set of gestures, and allows a lot of customization by writing your own scripts. Planning on using this add-on for a long time, because it makes me feel like Zorro! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.16).
Useful extension, but there's two big points to consider.
The extension adds an unnecessary icon to the statusbar which cannot be removed.
When downloading a zip, instead of prompting you for action in the download dialog, it takes over and does its thing.
For these two reasons, I cannot use this extension. I hope these problems are addressed in a future update.
WARNING: Adware! Do not install!
While this is a neat idea, the execution is not yet flawless. This will often be the case with programs that work on a 3rd party website, as the owners change these from time to time, causing incompatibilities with the program, so it is to be expected. The ads are a deal breaker for me, though.
Nice icons added to the menus, but as pointed out by a commenter here:
the current version of this extension breaks the autoscroll icon.
This is definitely one of my favorite extensions. If you're looking for an add-on that allows you to get rid of the menu bar, but still offers enough alternatives so you don't lose its functionality, look no more! Personal Menu is for you. :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0).
