Spyware, deinstall it !! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

They use our datas and sell them. Incredible. No Respect. Shame on you.
DONT T R U S T them.
The data showed every aspect of the browser activity of the users, really every detail. Cant believe this behaviour.
Suggest we shouldnt trust addons in advance, Firefox doesnt shelter us frome these addons. Its a shame !!
This guy knew quite early about it:

gives real data to 3rd party Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I installed it to help and avoid beginners falling in traps like phishing or fake shops. Instead WOT is thankful for such generous behaviour they are redirecting my personal data to 3rd party. I allowed them to sell data but in a anonymous way.
Additionally I am unable mark "new" TLDs like shop or XYZ.

So today I uninstalled it.

Spyware Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Recently german reporters founded a mocking company claiming to be interested in dealing with "Big-Data". Several Companies offered to sell data and even provided samples of data that included the surfing behaviour of 3M german citizens.
Read the Source (german): https://goo.gl/LrKmMx

"In the searches of the NDR a browser extension of the company "Web of Trust" (WOT) occurred. WOT offers a service that is designed to help the user navigate securely: the extension checks the integrity of web pages, evaluates pages visited by a traffic light system with regard to security.
In the background, however, the extension also logs and transmits the data for the surfing behavior of the user to a server abroad. A profile is created where the date, time, location and controlled web address are stored together with a user ID. These data then go to intermediaries. From one of these intermediaries, Panorama and ZAPP got their record."
(via google translate).
My recommendation is to immediately deinstall this plugin and leave an additional feedback for it.
The Plugin has a lot of positive reviews, because this facts were probably not known to the people reviewing it.

Disappointment to learn they spy on us Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Journalist in Germany found out that WOT sells user data from which my identity is easily visible. That is fraud. Unfortunately, I cannot do much except to deinstall (already doen) and warn others (which I do herewith). One star is still too much for such fraudulent spyware.
