Insanely useful for "old-school" forums like GameFAQs Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Text to Image is quite a handy extension for message boards that don't allow the posting of images in any useful way (e.g., GameFAQs and its spinoffs, generic message boards that have disabled [img] tags, etc.). What extensions like Linkification (does that still exist these days?) do to plaintext URLs, TTI does to plaintext URLs that link to *images*. No more must one triple-click the line an image link is contained in (and hoping that the user who posted the link was kind enough to not include anything else on the same line as it while also hoping you triple-clicked in the correct part of the URL such that the entire line will get selected instead of just part of the URL or some other unexpected behaviour) and either middle-click somewhere (X11), Fruit-C-L-V (OS X), Ctrl-C-L-V (Windows), or some other more time-consuming method of doing so just to see that damn image. Instead, one can view images the way Tim Burners-Lee intended it: inline.
Overall, TTI is a must-have to users of the message boards at GameFAQs and any other site like it that keeps its message boards text-only.
