Broken & update proposals Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I had a major upgrade to palemoon v27, and i cant clean history when i select 4 hours or 2 hours, i didn't test all the rest but, up to that point, it's unfunctional here.
A function would be great under the time range to clear:
(it's an automatism) (box to check)
& under Every, in a white rectangular frame, i add the number i want for:
[ ] Hours
for exemple: 12
if this is left like that & the clear data window including the specific
parts i want to clear are checked, & i close the clear data window .. .
after 12h, the checked parts i wanted to be auto deleted will be deleted
without intervention, continuously, every 12h..
& one more thing:
for some reason, my firefox saves data here, maybe because i use the addon opendownload & all open files are managed by windows & not firefox anymore but it leaves temp files in the hd:
but the "cache" section of the data clearing window, even selected, doesn't delete
anything from that folder above.. so if you could add that path too for the cache
deletion to privacy plus, it would be great.
or maybe with a script "greasemonkey" or another addon..

Not working in 48.* version.
Unfortunately because of this bug this addon is no longer works on FF45 and newer:
And because mozilla allows install incompatible addons without restrictions, without disabling or deleting this addon entirely, nothing I can do about it. In fact the package itself stated that the max compatible version is 32 (that's the max version was available when it was built) but it still allows me install it on FF47.

Great, just ran for the first time, selected from June 2005 to June 2015 to delete.
Everything deleted including today's browsing.
Avoid this like the plague
Not working in 38.0.1 Windows 8.1 May 30, 2015 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've used this previously on an old computer, and it worked great. Unfortunately, not really working on my new computer. I did try "clear between dates," and "clear before," but Firefox just froze up. Gave it five stars because it's great when it works, and this bug will probably be fixed...Later: Maybe I didn't give it enough time. In Library, History, I right clicked on Older than 6 months, and clicked delete. Seem to be frozen up, but I let it run about 15 minutes while I did some things. It still was spinning its wheel, I closed program, but the history was gone when I reopened Firefox. So, maybe we're just not giving Precise Clear History enough time to work.

This is exactly what I have been looking for, thank you!
Crashed and burned on FF 36.0 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Crashed and burned on FF 36.0 . . . four times. I tried both the "before date . . ." and "between dates . . . " options . . . several times. Spinning wheel of death and "Firefox (not responding)" requiring Force Quit. Gave up and removed the plugin.
Worked for me as advertised, but for one glitch Rated 4 out of 5 stars
To clear "history older than one month" I had to use the "clear between" (a year or two previous) to (a month ago) rather than the "clear before" (a month ago), the latter of which seems to have a problem on my system (locks up and keeps writing to the hard drive until FF gives me the "unresponsive script" popup). This is for version 1.3 of the add-on. (Bug report emailled to the developer already).
The "clear between" option worked perfectly and quickly, however. A very convenient way to intentionally clean out old history cruft as needed, which I prefer to having "automatic" addons do whenever they feel like it and without me knowing it.

Great extension, but missing the one thing I need Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This does what it says on the tin, the UI is easy to use, and the extension is very helpful. I also appreciate the calendar format of the time range. It is indeed very specific, down to the minute and second.
This extension would be better if:
1. "Browsing & Download History" were separated into 2 categories, the way they are on the "Settings" button in Firefox's "Privacy" tab.
2. The extension maintained the time range after closing, instead of having to be reset upon each new session.
Why I uninstalled Precise Clear History:
I like to keep my Download History far longer than my Browsing History. Unfortunately, this add-on doesn't have separate options for the 2, so I'd lose my download history when I removed the browsing history.
Note: This extension does have a "Session History" option, but of course, it doesn't deal with Browsing History.
This extension doesn't change any built-in capabilities.
What this extension does is add the date range to already existing "Last hour", "Two hours", "Four hours", "Today" and "Everything" selections. It doesn't change or add anything else.
As of time range being restored, well, personally I would be annoyed if it would reset itself each time I open that window...might add an option for that though.

would be great to have it clear history of selected checkboxes say

It works...? I don't understand why the Form & Search History is a gray box. If this is not being erased, it's not doing everything. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed.1-signed).
It's because there is nothing to erase. That is built-in feature of Firefox, nothing to do with this extension.
