Great addon!, but needs to be updated. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Works great on FF29 LinuxMint
Wish it had an easy right click, add site to to rules option. Otherwise does the trick.
*Edit, I knocked it down in ratings, as the preferences menu crashes on my windows 7 cpu.

Still maintained? Still crashes Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Really nice addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

only one small ux issue: would be nice to have contextmenu on statistics and examine dialogs, to open url and to delete url or group of urls

History Deleter not only doesn't work but it crashes FF26 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Installed the add on for FF26 on Win7, restarted, entered History Deleter preferences, Added a Deletion rule with one keyword, clicked examine rule and *crash* - FF has encountered a bug, quit or restart. So I restarted and wrote this message and FF crashed again right about when I was done typing the first sentence. I restarted and immediately removed History Deleter 2.4.1. It would be great to have a tool like this to prune FF's history by keyword but this add on not only doesn't work, it prevents my FF from running.

When a rule is clear the history, firefox v26 closed with error. On earlier versions of firefox, everything was fine. You update history deleter, to eliminate this incompatibility with firefox v26?

This addon really helps to manage your browsing history. You can create own rulesets which makes it more flexible than similar addons. Particularly, I like the option to delete sites you only visited once and never again since.
In theory, the addon can also check your history for dead links. However, the deadlink checker causes my FF to crash since the FF26 update.

Please add the ability to 'add this site' via right click and 'delete all history' when right clicking or pressing delete on a website in the grouped history window!

Also the graph doesn't keep previous uncleaned values. If I check how many records I have say 1300000, and then I press 'Run now' and go back and look at the graph it doesn't show 1300000 on the history statistics graph at all, it only shows the cleaned value across the 4 days. Also any chance of changing the graph to show more than 4 days?

Does not always work Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I manage to selectively erase some of the websites that I wanted but with others it did not work.
And it's true that it's not clear what Before XXXX days means....
Furthermore I'm no expert but wheather it erases the things from firefox sqlite places db it's a mistery to me...

Very good and useful idea - implementation - can be greatly improved

you can make a good add on better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

You should make the add on so it clears the history older than the x amount of days that the user specified on exit of the browser it seems that is only limited to the number of entries. for example if i have it set to 14 day it should automatically clear entrie more than 14 day old on exit of browser, like they say set and forget it

Does not work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This Add-on does not do what it says it does; it does not delete anything from the history.
All it does is set the visit_count of an URL to 0. But the URL is still in the places.sqlite database, and thus it will still appear in the firefox 'awesome bar'

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The description says you can delete by the visited date, but I do not see this option.

The only Deletion option I see is under Execution Settings; Run on application finished When history exceeds x entries.

I have this checked, with 500 entries, I click OK, then close SeaMonkey. When I reopen, History Deleter shows that I have 2521 Current history entries. I've done this twice and it appears not to work.

(I could not find a way to directly contact the developer with the above.)

Thank you very much.

works great, but doesnt detect some URL? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi, Great add-on. However it doesnt seem to work with Facebook photo pages which has # and ! marks on it (its in format: facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=12345566777889900 ). I tried strings like facebook.com, photo.php, fbid, and none worked.

Help! (and thanks for great add-on)

Good idea, with much needed functionality. BUT, +1 to being able to disable the dead link checker.
