Must have addon, but need "Reply All" buttonThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Reply all button
You can right click on the header toolbar and "customize" it: Then you can add or remove buttons. The reply all button is in the default set (click the corresponding button in the customization dialog or add it by drag and drop).

The addon is very nice but the lack os a "Reply All" is something uncomprehensiable. But to me, the worse was the fact that uninstalling the addon didn't make things come back the way they were. This is something terrible becase in the case of no likeing it, I simply can't have my old behavior again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7).
Indispensable! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I run thunderbird in a 10" screen.. This addon is very important to me as it saves me precious screen estate! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7).

Thank you very much.
With the 2.07beta3, header background color can be made darker when got the focus.
Reply all broken in TB 17.02 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I've been using this add-on for a very long time and it always worked like a charm! So generally: thumbs up!
However, recently, I noticed the Reply-all button does no longer work as expected. When using this button, only contacts which were in the to-field of the original message will get the reply; CC-ed contacts will not.
Using TB 17.02 on Ubuntu 12.04
WORKS WELL! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I just installed this and it works perfectly! Thank God--it was driving me crazy seeing only part of the message window! There are now five little buttons on the upper right. Click on "other actions" and then "preferences."This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.6).

A very nice addon indeed.
I support kandilzade's request, to change the background color of the header when the message pane is selected. It would be helpful. I think it would also be nice if a way existed to customize the visibility of the buttons shown in the header (for instance, i hate the "junk" button and would like to remove it).
Thanks for the addon.
The customization of the header toolbar is included in this addon (actually in Thunderbird itself):Place the mouse on top of the buttons, then click right mouse button, then "Customize". Then you can add/remove buttons. With the CompactHeader preferences dialog (e.g. also by the right mouse context menu on top of the header) you can choose the location of the header toolbar.
I added an option to the latest beta (2.0.7beta3) to darken the message header if the message pane has focus.

Tested latest Version 2.0.4 and it fixed the missing toolbar in compact mode for me.
Thanks for the fix.
This is a great add-on.
Works Just Fine Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Version 2.0.4beta2 fixes all the bugs I noticed with the addon (including the missing delete, fwd, etc buttons).
Essential addon that should be a standard feature of Thunderbird. Many thanks to the developer for keeping this one maintained.
Thank you for the update.

This extension no longer works at all in Thunderbird at ver. 11.0.1. If this extension is still being maintained, it would be nice if the author would update it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Please test if version <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/downloads/file/148471/compactheader-2.0.3beta3-tb.xpi">2.0.3beta3</a> fixes your problem
Nice concept, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I think that the UI for the options is confusing. Also, when I setup the buttons as a sidebar I had issues adding and removing buttons. It would not allow me, for example, to add a Print button. It seemed like it got added but then the button was not there when I hit Done. Only after restarting did the buttons show up. Please clean up the UI, fix the bugs and it might be a hit. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).

Absolutely love this add-on. I do a lot of work on a netbook and so real estate is limited. This add-on makes reading and managing mail a lot easier. Thanks to the developer! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).

Thanks, it's a very usefull addon.
But I think it would be very convenient if the first one will be recipients "To", and then recipients "Copy".
Thank you for the suggestion. The addresses should be sorted in the new beta version (2.0.2beta3, see development channel).
Little plus in Linux Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I complained in a previous comment about a previous version where the plus is hard to click. The latest version of this addon has fixed that, and therefore this addon is perfect. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.0). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Useful addon ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It is very useful to have maximum view of message body but a little difficulty to identify TO and CC mail ids in two line view. I suggest (or request) to highlight TO mail ids (in bold or some other color) to differentiate between CC mail ids.
In the two line header mode the CC addresses are displayed italic and the BCC addresses italic and underlined.
I didn't want to use bold or a different color because then the CC/BCC addresses would appear too important.
Great! A candidate for the main program... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Finally I found this add-on - now I can choose header-size again!
I hadn't imagined there to be an addon now for this purpose. Several months I had been irritated, that Thunderbird had lost the ability to reduce header-size - uncomfortable especially on a netbook, where space is scarce.
Now I understand, there was a change that meant to increase functionality...
I think, this functionality is really important. I strongly encourage it being re-integrated into the main program!
v2.0.0 does not play well with Mail Summaries v1.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
When using CompactHeader 2.0.0 and Mail Summaries 1.1 are installed in Thunderbird 9, the title for the main tab does not update properly. The main tab title contains a folder icon with no text most of the time, but it will properly display the account name if an account is selected in the sidebar. However, clicking on a particular folder in the sidebar (inbox, outbox, etc.) does not update the tab title to show the folder name and account.
Great extension though. I have always loathed Thunderbird's huge header display.
I cannot reproduce your problems with CompactHeader and Mail Summaries. Could you please give some more hints (at the support thread at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1405155
