Tabs more visible Rated 5 out of 5 stars

With colors, the tabs get much more contrast. One can group by domains, etc.

Nice is also to highlight the active tab with bold letters, leaving more blurred letters in the other tabs.

The FIRST Modification I make to a New Install Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a Power User, I never shut down and always have at least 20 tabs open. Colorful Tabs lets me find the content I'm looking for in a flash.
It also makes switching back and forth between tabs very easy.
It might be new or that I just found the option, but I can make non-selected tabs slightly dimmer, brightening my current tab. A small change but it helps quite a bit.
I've donated in the past and I will do so again. Over the years this Add On has become essential to me.
I appreciate your good work.
Thank You!

Doesn't work with Tab Mix Plus Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It doesn't color tabs. While I have Tab MIx Plus colors set on the current tab and tabs that are loading. I have no other preferences. So this extension does not override a TMP specified color, it also does color a tab with no specified color.

I need TMP for such things as removing Session Manager and keeping Fx from closing the browser when I close the last tab and for editing the menus. Other extensions override TMP colors if none are specified.

I am removing this now.

Cool feature! It makes more colorful, attractive. Thank you! A wonderful addition!

To retain the original highlighted curved tab (for the current tab)... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Since I see many complaining about the square tabs...there is an easy workaround to restore the current tab to be curved. It never bothered me much in itself; I was more concerned with easily discerning the current tab in use. The option to 'Highlight the currently selected tab' doesn't help, and the Fading feature doesn't help enough. Note; I only use the 'color tabs by domain hostname' feature. Back when Australis came to be, the currently selected tab showed up like the FF default highlighted curved tab. But later versions of CT changed that, so I modified the clrtabs.css file until signed add-ons were (fully) required.

There's an easy workaround; use v23.9.

Shiv, it would be great if the 'Highlight the currently selected tab' could replicate how the current tab is shown in v23.9. Or, maybe it could be an option to toggle it with Fading.

Thanks for an otherwise great add-on!

Would be great, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Has all the options I need, BUT:
1. Top pixel is not clickable. VERY inconvenient, why??
2. Looks kinda ugly

looks really outdated Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Looks really 1990's with the rectangular tabs instead of the sleek curved default tabs, also it immediately colors all tabs, even though I set the option to color only the tabs I want.
Removed it right away

I've used this for years Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Whenever I have to re-do my Firefox preferences, this is my #1 add-on. It helps me organize, looks nice, and I've never had a problem with them. I really like this add-on.
One thing I'd add, is the ability to customize colors (for example, enabling a gray-scale theme, or choosing which colors I'd like to use. If this exists, I'm sorry for mentioning it, I don't see where I can change that though!).

well i don´t think adding features will make this addon better, of course its your addon and you can do what you want but it would be nice to have a light version without any xtra cpu hogging

Not working with Seamonkey 2.40 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does not work for me on SM default theme. Seriously if you don't want to support Seamonkey then pull it from the Seamonkey extensions section. I used this for years, migrated away from FF (I'm not the only one) and this was just a tease, as well as a waste of 30 minutes trying versions clear back to 20. Yet Seamonkey is in the rdf.

Great Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I just have a small problem... My habits.
Ordinary when I want to click a tab I put the mouse at the top of it, the tab is selected. With Colorful Tabs, if I am not clicking EXACTLY the tab, it doesn't work. So I have to be more precise. :/

Very useful - super util Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A killer addon which work as expected, an additional function to rename the tab would be nice.

very useful add-on, some bugs Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is an indispensable add-on for power tab users who want to colour-code tabs to prioritise. BUT shortcut key for change tab colour doesnt work, I couldn't customise the 4 default colours showing, and it only colours edges - not the whole tab? Can you please fix, and add some instructions, for 5 stars? An option to customise shortcut keys would be great!

Display Tab Stack Option BACKWARDS Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm using FF 47.0 64-bit (on WIn7, Win8.1, WIn10 - all 64-bit)
When the Option "Display Tab-Stack Below the tabs (thick colored line)" is checked, the thick line appears ABOVE the tabs ! When unchecked, there is NO thick colored line. This happens with the latest version of ColorfulTabs - and numerous previous version. This is the ONLY problem I find in this otherwise great add-on.

broken option in 30.0.4 for Windows Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In 30.0.4 on windows 10, Enable Fixed Background Color for Currently Selected Tab doesn't work - it's greyed out. It worked fine in 30.0.3.

Other than that, I love this add-on!

SO-SOOO AWESOME... When it works... :( Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I don't understand compatability issues, but 1 or more of my other addons don't work with this.
I had to disable and move on to Colorfultabs candy... it's okay, but better than my all grey tabs, right now. :/

Slow Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Good effort, but makes Firefox go slow. Also noticed browser hangs a lot. Both problem resolved as soon as I removed the add on. Maybe something to look into for the developer. Dont like the box shaped tabs.
