Excellent Ad-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a wonderful ad-on. It is the best ad-blocker that I have ever seen and it does its job very well. It is nice to read web pages without the constant visual distractions of adds that tire the eyes.

Thank you very much for your work!
I love Adblock Edge :)

Had it not been for the add-on icon which I really don't like (please, use red colour instead!), I would use it instead of ADP. Other than that the add-on is great

ABE 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 breaks Thunderbird's ability to compact mailboxes Rated 4 out of 5 stars

While ABE is great in Firefox, the lastest versions break Thunderbird's ability to compact mailboxes. On busy systems this can be very serious. It was reported on the support site after the release of 2.1.2 and is still not working with the release of 2.1.3. Please fix.

An actual ad blocker that's not in bed with the advertisers?? Sign me up! Say no to Adblock Plus, get the edge instead with Adblock Edge.

I think it's the cat's meow and more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I primarily use it for Yahoo and Kijiji's intrusive and overabundance of ads. I recently switched over from 'Adblock Plus' because of their new alliance with the G place. I understand how money works, but the web has become a virtual mosquito fest of redundant and annoying ads that need swatting. ;p

Thank you Adstomper for giving us an option with the Edge.

FYI: I'm pleased that the additional 'Element Hiding Helper for AdBlock Plus' works with the Edge because Kijiji's new annoying middle of the ad column's rotating ad strip just disappears after zapping it away. LOL

Why I chose Adblock Edge over Plus Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Whether you are starting with Adblock for the first time or changing this is a great tool. For those changing, you don't need Chrome for a real Adblocker, Edge is a great one right here.

Why this over AdBlock Plus you ask? Well it's because ABP contradicts itself with allowed advertisements.

I was using Plus for about 4 years or so before I switched to Edge. You could say that you could uncheck the allowed advertisements box but that does not solve the problem.

The ads still load on ABP and hey, it's the internet there are going to be alternatives and ABP should realize this. It happened to famous chatting websites and it will probably happen to ABP

Love the addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this addon, it's the same thing as Adblock Plus but without the "non-intrusive ads".

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wish it was slightly easier to block certain ads, especially the kind that are in the "background" of websites instead of the foreground, can't exactly right click on those and select adblock edge. But other than that, works nicely and it doesn't have that awful "feature" that other adblocking add-on have, which allow ads on certain websites.

6 Stars! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add on is perfect for blocking unwanted ads. I previously used Ad Muncher and AdFender..this is way better than either. Easy to configure for custom rules and rarely I mean rarely misses an ad. Best of all as an add on to FF its not an additional program wasting background resources as the other mentioned programs did..

LAGS ON STARTUP Rated 5 out of 5 stars

essential, but i've noticed a problem with version 2.1.2... it lags on browser opening; it takes a few seconds before it starts working, exposing ads until the page auto refreshes, and then the ads are gone.

this didn't start until 2.1.2. i've downgraded to 2.1.1, and the problem is gone. i've gotten the same results with testing on adblock pro (since this is a fork). btw, i've tested this on FF24ESR, 28, and 29, all with the same results (on mac OSX).

hopefully, the folks over at adblock pro (and you, by extension) will get this problem fixed. in the meantime, i'm staying with 2.1.1 until then.

Great add-on. Doesn't work on BSD systems though, hence the 4 stars.

Perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars

does exactly what i need it to do. All sites, i never see any ads. That includes youtube videos, facebook, yahoo, and all other sites. Addsare no longer a part of my browsing experience. Ad Block Plus or whatever has sites where it still allows certain types of ads. This add-on eliminates all of them without hindering performance or usability of Firefox.

Essential if you want your journeys across the web to be enjoyable instead of annoying.
