Perspective addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon is good if you have few search engines. But if you have 40-50 engines to open all searches in tabs becomes ridiculous.
But it is possible to add this ability with not so big efforts.
The options should allow to choose some subset of search engines and assign this subset to some profile (name). It will be like folders, but allow overlaping. So, the "Search using" item in context menu will list the profiles names, and each profile - its search engines. One of such profiles (main profile) will show its search engines on upper level, i.e. together with profiles. Moreover, such organization will not require "Open all searches in tabs" - clicking on profile name will do this
Regarding "Organize search engines" - this addon a little bit conflicts with omnibar addon, when you want to use urlbar also for searches - it doesn't allow to change the default search engine..

This add-on has two advantages over the current version of Context Search (0.4.6): It copies the searches to the searchbox history and it can open searches in background tabs (which was broken in Context Search for FF4). It has one disadvantage: not supporting the organization of engines into folders using Organize Search Engines. I hope this feature will be added soon and so I'll switch into using it.

Ok. Great add-on. I love that you can copy search selection right into Searchbox. I just wish an option to switch Searchbox engine to the one selected from this extension.

One bug. In Firefox 3.6, this extension does not have name in Addon window. Strange.

Yeah, it works in 4.0beta! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

All the kudos+ of Smart Search, and works in 4.0 beta. Should be a default feature!!!

I would love to be able to create subsets of my search plug-ins that I could use all together. I have about 20 search plug-ins and it would be too much to use all of them for a multi search, but it would be so handy to use, say, 3-5 of them at a time.

Great Concept Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does exactly what the developer says that it does and I like the idea of this add-on, but I currently have 20 search plugins installed and some are very site and/or content specific and not general such as Google etc so running a search through all search plugins is just too much for me personally.

What would make this an awesome and very useful add-on is the ability to create sets of search plugins to use so for example, I could run a search on a particular phrase using a customized set of search plugins such as Google, Wikipedia, Answers.com etc and name the set General etc.
I could also create a set named Mozilla that contained search plugins for Mozilla Developer Center, mozillaZine Knowledge Base, Mozilla.org and so on.

I could just as easily use Google Co-Op but this add-on would allow me to get results for each site individually. Adding a toolbar button would also be great.

Thanks for developing this. I hope that you can and do implement the search sets idea.
