I'm a bit conflicted about this addon. On the one hand when the window is maximized I love being able to take advantage of my widescreen monitor by placing the tabs on the side. BUT on the other hand I also frequently use a minimized window, which a vertical tab bar just isn't suited for. I think this extension would be greatly improved by giving the user and easy way (e.g. with a menu command) to swap the position of the tab bar around. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.2009100101).
VERY nice visual upgrade. My one complaint is that when used with vertical tab bar extensions, this glasser extension is completely broken. The glass effect gets extended to web pages when the tab bar is arranged vertically. This extension would be much better if it had all around better compatibility with vertical tab bars.
I'm a bit conflicted about this extension. When I have the window maximized, I love taking advantage of my widescreen monitor by displaying the tabs on the righthand side. BUT I frequently like to work with a minimized screen, which the vertical tab bar just isn't well suited for. I think that if you added the ability quickly swap between tab bar positions, e.g. with a menu command, it would greatly improve this extension. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.2009100101).
I really like this an alternative to displaying your rss feeds in the bookmarks toolbar, mostly because I think this extension updates better. However, it would be really nice if you could set it to display more than one feed at once. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.2).
I like this extension, especially the notifications that pop up alerting the user to new popular stories.
But: I ultimately had to uninstall it. I found that it messed with my ability to move around objects on the toolbar. I ended up not using the toolbar much anyway, and the notification popup, while nice, is really just a graphical version of the RSS feed. I would be very much interested in seeing if this ever gets fixed though.
