First impression: great! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52.1-signed).
Why is this not part of the core? Great.
Simply does the job. Good.
I like the functionality. But I dislike the weird design of the dialogue window. Please make it possible to use colours and fonts/font sizes according to current system settings. I believe, the dialogue could be redisigned to look a lot simpler. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.4).
Installs without restart, but no entry in the File menu appears in Thunderbird 31.4.0, even after restart. Linux, German environment.
I am still using this plugin with TB 31.4.0. It is working perfectly. I just had to increase the maxVersion in the install.rdf file inside the xpi(zip) archive to something higher than the actual version (I chose 99.*). Why is this plugin not officially compatible with current versions? I see no compatibility issues at all.
I have used this plugin for a long time. But now, needing it for the first time in quite a while, I found that the "Save page as image ..." option disappeared from the context menu in Debian's iceweasel 31.4.0 (German language). As (hopefully temporary) workaround I downgraded to 3.0.18 as has been recommended in an older rating post below. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I have been using this add-on for ages with many versions of Firefox and Iceweasel. Indispensible! There may be other tools for the same task, but I will stick with PrefBar.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
Indispensible tool! Made surfing with Firefox much more comfortable. I use it mostly for my bookmarks and the Scrapbook add-on. It is a must-have! Thank you very much for this great add-on!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.18.1-signed).
It is a real pitty this addon is not actively maintained anymore. But so far, it keeps working without any flaws on all Firefox/Iceweasel versions up to 10.0.3 (Iceweasel on Debian wheezy).
Does there exist any replacement that does (at least) the same as Aardvark to replace it once it stops working with a higher version of FF/IW?
Fast Dial broke after upgrade to FF 7.0.1, update to Fast Dial 3.5.1 does not fix it. 2nd time this happens to me. I think I am going to try out a different tool like Speed DialThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.1-signed).
Does work niceley with Firefox 5.0. A very simple, but very useful little addon.
I edited the max. version entry of the install.rdf file inside the .xpi to read <em:maxVersion>5.0.*</em:maxVersion> and it works just fine with Firefox 5 on Linux
