This is a great add-on, not only does it block ads. It also allows me/you to select tracking/malware/social filters to better your privacy. Currently it is better than Ghostery. (http://www.areweprivateyet.com/). Most people get this confused with AdBlock from Chrome. (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-for-firefox) However reading a few articles help me clear up the misunderstanding between the two. (https://palant.de/2014/07/29/which-is-better-adblock-or-adblock-plus) and (http://readwrite.com/2014/08/01/adblock-plus-switch-adblock) and (http://jackworld.xyz/adblock-vs-adblock-plus/). The only gripe I have with it is there is no way to turn off the easy-list filter for a site, while keeping the malware/tracking/social filters on. Hence I am reading a web-comic and want them to be able to make money off the ads, However I still want to have my privacy. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Nice, however has a tendency to open a tab every time it updates which is kind of annoying after awhile. Along with resetting all of your settings. And resetting the position of the Icon. I do not wish to see the icon so why do you every update decides to reset it along with my settings. Looking kind of pointless, since (http://www.areweprivateyet.com/). Mostly I am removing Ghostery due to the not remembering settings and involuntary tab opening. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.4.1).
Loving the add-on, however it would be wonderful if I didn't need to use the back-button twice to get back one page. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.4).
If you have Firefox set to remember previous session, when reopening it on YouTube it returns "Error: document.domain is null" for every YouTube page you had open. Also maybe add a default black page so when loading it doesn't flash white for a second.
Has tons of choices for information just a few clicks away. Even more then what some people may need which is always a bonus. Hopefully they will put links in the future to SEO ranking websites. Such as WooRank and WebRankStats. Cause if i can access more then one site with 1 add-on vs 3 add-on that only favor their own site I think we all know who wins.
Nice, has a clean interface. Except it is a little annoying having it constantly opening within OmniSidebar. Hopefully they will add an options menu within the add-on menu to change this? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
Does what it says it does. Has a nice Graph view and List. Only thing I have a problem with is there ever going to be a way to set the Default time filter to Monthly or Yearly. I think it would be nice to see which trackers you encounter the most over an extended period of time. BTW if you have AdBlock, Ghostery, or/and DoNotTrackME; It sometimes doesn't register the trackers. Don't know why, but could you ask the developers of the addons to add a function where it sends that it met, and blocked, a tracker to lightbeam? Also I just noticed my lightbeam doesn't have the clock choice to view from it only has list and graph???This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206). Thank God someone still has some brains around here. Works as intended only thing I notice that seems a little off is the placement of the Bookmarks star in URL being overpowered by the Flagfox add-on. That and the star is supposed to change color if the page is already bookmarked. Example, if I bookmark this page the star should change from gray to a light blue. Menu button is a little off the edge of the screen while in full-screen, yet it is still click-able.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.8).
This Add-on would get Five stars if it weren't for a few reasons. WOT depends on the users of it to generate its reports on various websites. This is a two sided blade, it is good because it allows the common users (mostly premium members have a much larger say in the finally overall average) to put in their report, but that backfires because well frankly I have read some of these "reports" and well some of them are outdated, inconstant, gibberish, and completely biased (fan-boys, religion, politics). I think the site (WOT's database) would be a little better if these reviews were more balanced (premium members have less say then what they do now or put in a separate category from common users) and reviews were checked to see if they were intelligent, consistent, balanced, well though out, and current to the times.
I "liked" Collusion. I Love this It has a cleaner interface. Better data viewing options. Doesn't lag as much as the old one did. I use addons Ghostery and DoNotTrackMe except they don't really show how all those sites add-up/work together. This add-on does, so now you can finally have proof that Google is behind everything and whatnot. I only have one question For those of us who used Collusion is there going to be a way sometime in the future for us to re-import the old data into lightbeam, or is that going to be a big no?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2). Great Add-on not only can I now understand what some people commenting are saying. Now I can go look at the Asian and European MMORPG's and be able to read about the game.
Whoa this is great. I can now use this to find similar sites for various sites. Example Comic → Other Great Comics. Works better then what I was expecting. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.9).
I approve of you allowing some advertisements. Except in cases like Hutu I have to disable this add-on so I can watch the videos. Since there advertisement's are 3-5 minute advertisements. Maybe you could figure out how to get around them locking up when add-block tries to block the add. On other note demolishes the yucky crap adds I see. Like they were never there. 5 starsThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.2).
Works fine for me. See that Google is connected to Everything. Except some random sites. Nice little circle chart to see how everything is connectedThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.27).
Clean interface. User friendly buttons. Does what is supposed to. Would be nice if a little drop down menu explained what each of the options do when hovering over them with a mouse cursor. This is a great add-on for people who wish to be able to view their bookmarks/history/downloads/extensions&add-on/page-info/Error Console? In a Sidebar instead of opening a new window. Finally can watch You Tube or browse through history while watching Hulu's advertising. | The You Tube thing is separate add on Called "Tube Enhancer +" This add-on works very well with it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.3).
Would like for it to be simpler, user friendly, Button layout is somewhat complicated, looks a little out of place. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.20).
