Finally! Now I don't have to use the separate extension "Tab Group Bar" - this feature is now part of Tab Groups Helper! I also love the fact that I can rearrange tabs by dragging them into other groups. These are two long awaited features.
I have two suggestions for the Tab Groups Bar: first, instead of using a fixed width for the Tab Groups, please make them variable for shorter labels and fixed length for longer labels. Example: if I set Tab Groups Bar pixel length to 65, and I have a Tab Group labeled as "ABC", it has too much white space and therefore eats up extra space on the Tab Groups Bar. Secondly, it would be nice to change the font / font color of the Tabs Group Bar rather than the light gray it is currently.
Much appreciated for this GREAT extension.
I love this addon and have been using it for 2 or so years and it worked flawlessly.
However, ever since Firefox 17 (and now 18), this addon doesn't work properly. When I drag tabs into another group, the originating tabs get 'stuck' and do not re-order as they once did. This also happens if I start a new group with the same tab.
Once this happens, I can't close other tabs - the "X" button doesn't highlight and is not clickable. The only way to fix the 'stuck' and 'unclosable' tabs is to shut down Firefox and reload. It's extremely frustrating.
I have reinstalled Windows (fresh) and did a new install of Firefox, and made sure no other addons were installed. I then installed FaviconizeTab, and this problem was easily replicated.
Author: please make this wonderful addon compatible with the new Firefox. I love this addon and wish to continue using it.
I love this addon - colors are great and so are the icons. I can't stand Firefox 4's button layout and REALLY want Firefox 3 buttons back. Even with your addon, I can't enable the FF3 icons like you're showing in your screenshots using Google? I'd *LOVE* to know how you did it. In fact, if you made it an option in your addon to make FF3 buttons display automatically that would be great. Cheers! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).
Great addon -- I definitely prefer the previous monkey icon, though.
Maybe you can make it an option within preferences to allow the user to choose which icon to use? ;-)
