Evernote Web Clipper

Disfunctional and probably unmaintained. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does not do anything at all with FF 50.0.2/Linux, x64. Seems to be unmaintained. Since nobody seems to notice that it's completely broken, it's safe to assume that nobody gives a cent if it is secure. Sorry, Evernote. It just didn't work out with us...

Lightbeam for Firefox

It works - at last Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Finally I got it working even under Linux. Very comprehensive to the price of a slightly bloated look, but seems quite self-explaining and the visualiszation is still awesome.

Add to Search Bar

You cant do without it Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really, this is one of my candidates for "best Add-On ever". Easy, small and extremely useful. If it just had an option to customize each search engine's URI or API call, I'd give six stars. I'd pick the sixth one from the sky :)

Whois Lookup & Hosting & DNS & Site Flags Firefox

Did not work - but spy on me Rated 1 out of 5 stars

After install on FF 36.0 Whois Lookup & ... appeared correctly in the add-ons list, but does nothing. At least nothing you would exspect like adding a button to your add-on-bar or an option to the context menu. So, in my case it provided no function, nothing useful, just nothing.
What it did, as I realized watching the HTTP response headers, was excessive spying. Each and every page I visited.was instantly phoned home (home to Key Systems, Germany, who are hiding behind the "" profile. For whatever reason.) and sent to Google Analytics - together with a suspiciously long, encrypted parameter list.
So to put this in clear words: This plugin does not just send queries about websites, you want examined, it sends everything you do to Key Systems AG as well as to Google Analytics. I, for one, would not exactly call this "moderate use".

Lightbeam for Firefox

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I tried Lightbeam in its' early days and just rechecked :( Shame. The buttons STILL are not doing anything with the Linux version. No list, no info on tracking sites, nothing! Either support Linux or don't, but please don't claim to do so and release completely unmaintained alibiware like that!
Utterly useless and also annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Much like good, old archivemail, just without the hassle. And, of course, it works with remote mail folders. A little polish for the exported HTML (index page, etc) and I'd give it five...

Print pages to Pdf

Meh! You can do this with wget and gs !1! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

...if you have 1) no life and 2) a masochist affaire with the command line :)
Otherwise you definitively want to use this plugin. It's not only pretty perfect in translating layout and structural elements of HTML into PDF (including index, subindices, chapters etc.), it also is the only "honest" PDF generating extension I know (apart form CUPS-PDF - which actually is not an extension) as it really locally processes your request without involving questionabe third parties. Kudos!

Add to Search Bar

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I hate to say this, but for me, FF 3.6 and Debian/GNU Linux it works on this actual site ( but absolutely nowhere else. Maybe an incompatibilty with some other addon, but it's definitely not working.

Web of Trust, MyWOT/WOT: Website Reputation Rating

Nicht frei von Ungereimtheiten Rated 2 out of 5 stars
