My Reviews

Easy YouTube Video Downloader

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work. No buttons ever appeared on the dozen or so YouTube videos I tested this addon with. Tried on Firefox 3.5.4 on Vista, WinXP, and Mac OS X (10.5).

macfox II

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love how sharp and clean this looks! Great work! Please tell me there's an update for Firefox 3 on the way!

iMacros for Firefox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very powerful tool, but has a slightly tough learning curve (requires some programming (JavaScript, etc) knowledge and/or the ability to research and read - a lot (and ask questions)); but this does not outweigh the benefits of this extension - there are just too many uses and the tutorials and example scripts make for a good start to learn the ins and outs. Not "essential" but worth the time to learn and to use if you need it.

Download Statusbar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a wonderful add-on. Not only does it give you the download progress information in a mouse-over tool tip balloon but it manages to get rid of the external (to the main window(s) of the browser) download manager (which always irritates me by popping open and on top when a download starts - unless disabled and then in which case I am blind to the progress of the download(s) - not good either). This tidies that all up in a very simple and elegant fashion. I wish this would be absorbed into the core browser and become optional means of displaying downloads information (in addition to the existing manager - since some like and prefer it as it is).

Adblock Plus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

An excellent add-on that's more than just convenient, it's practically essential given the amount of ads (and space wasted due to excessive advertisements) on so many web pages.

Wonderful, but not perfect Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This latest update of Down Them All! is really good and makes a great add-on that should be, IMO, considered for inclusion to the core browser. It is just that darn handy and powerful - and very simple to learn and use. The ONE thing I really dislike about this newer updated build is that it doesn't retain the renaming mask (I used *name*.*ext* most often telling it to use the file's name and extension as downloaded) so I have to type that in every time I download with it - for everything except "dTa OneClick!" downloads. I do like the feature to download across multiple tabs with this new DTA build - great for getting pics from image galleries that open each in a new window - open a bunch and then DTA all of them across all tabs in one fell swoop. Very cool. Aside from the naming mask being less automatic and intuitive like the prior version this is absolutely a must have and darn near "perfect" for what it is designed to do. Well worth the time to get and to learn to use. It beats the pants of the standard download manager.

Undo Closed Tabs Button

Excellent! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I decided to try this after removing TabMix Plus (I had been using that Add-on's button to do the same thing - but its features are largely included in Firefox 2 by default now (the ones I wanted/needed anyway) and found myself suddenly without that handy dandy button. It's a lot more convenient to have it. This satisfies my need with no extra bulk. Wonderful add-on, a great job!
