It's not working for me. All I get is the cool background image with dark transparent boxes in place of where the thumbnails should be. The 3D screen still moves along with my mouse pointer though, and the boxes still take me to their websites. But no website thumbs. Any idea's on how to fix this?
I rated it 2 stars because, even though I know it's in experimental stages, it's still not working for me, but I love the concept. I will get a few friends to try it and rate it high if they like it, when I get mine fixed and actually see how much I enjoy it. I really want to enjoy it, by the way.
This is a very cool concept. I'd like to see sister add ons with bookmarks, history, recently visited (as opposed to most visited like this one, and non-bookmarked). Could possibly become a full featured add on with all of these together.
I hope the developer spends some more time on this.
This is definitely one of the best extensions, and maybe second to none when dealing with images. I really like the different zoom capabilities.
But there are two things I think need to be considered when updating this extension again. 1) Smoother dragging. I've just finished testing another similar extension (I have already decided to use this one instead) and the dragging in that zoom is the best I have seen. And to be perfectly honest and unbiased, the dragging in zoomFox is really bad. It's not as smooth as I would like, and I think it deserves to be better. I don't mean it has to be the best or smoothest, but I do think it should be better than it is now.
2) The white background can be changed to a more neutral color. As we all know, white as a background for digital images is the worst color. Maybe a more grayish color would look better and be easier on our eyes. I don't think you should go through the trouble of making this some kind of user defined attribute, but I do think just a single, non-changeable neutral color would be best.
Aside from those two things, this extension will be very useful for me, since I do a lot of image searching and studying. Keep up the great work.
I type in a text area, like normal. Writing paragraphs, so I have to press the Enter key. When I save a file with \"Save Text Area,\" then open the .txt file in Notepad, I get little empty square icons where I pressed Enter.\r\n\r\nHow can I get it to stop doing that? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.5).
I love this extension. I use it with PermaTabs so I can keep a set of tabs through sessions for sites I check on everyday. PermaTab allows me to lock those tabs so they'll never be deleted. And now FaviconizeTab lets me keep my tabbar clean and roomy.
FaviconizeTab is pretty awesome.
It would get a 6, but it needs a 9 for all the style points. It could be a little faster to respond once you click on another tab, but I think the transition speed is good. Any faster and it may not look right. It loses points for not having any options, I don't mean transition options, I mean speed options.
