Super Tab Mode

Reopen Closed Tab Button Menu Popup not working Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Great work on the latest version, Tyunshan. Love how lightweight such a multi-functional add-on as Super Tab Mode is.

One issue I've found: the right-click menu for the Reopen Closed Tab Button does not show up, even in the latest Version 2.00.1. Please look into this at your convenience, if you can. Thanks in advance of your continued support on this extension!

For those looking for an alternative: EdgeWise. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's not usually good to promote a different add-on within the review section of another, but seeing as how the developer seems to have dropped support of this add-on a long time ago, I would like to point everyone looking for an alternative to EdgeWise. It is inspired by MileWideBack, but has even more customization options and abilities. Check it out!

Doesn't work in Fx45. (EDIT) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

EDIT after Version 1.0.3: Works perfectly after the fix! Thanks again, Maëlan! Five stars not just for the functionality of the addon, but also the support by the developer!

This add-on has been an amazing part of my browsing for a long time, even longer than the past two years since its last update in March 2014. However, the latest Firefox version 45.0 has caused the title to no longer show for some reason. I have filed an issue in github about this, but I also wanted to note it in here. Thanks for all the support you've given to this addon in previous years, and I hope you are still available to support it now. Thank you.

Great addon, changes how I browse! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Well done, Daniel. This little 13kB add-on is very powerful. Visually knowing exactly what tab is playing a video and not having to switch tabs in order to pause or play said video is a big time-saver! As I'm using TitleURL, which only shows favicon-sized tabs, I have tweaked the Play/Pause button to appear just below the favicon. And it still works perfectly. Five stars!

Edit: I have found that this addon does not work in Private Browsing tabs. Until that is fixed, I must change my rating to 4 stars instead of five.

Edit #2: Using v1.0.4+, the fix is not robust. When I have a Private Tab/Window open, I have to disable/re-enable Play/Pause in order for the Play/Pause icon to show up.
Another issue I see is that the new Mute icon for Fx42 disappears when this addon is enabled. In order for both to show, I have had to disable/reenable the addon while a video is playing.

Squared Australis Tabs

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Nice lightweight addon, but it doesn't clean up after itself. I tried to remove it, but it does not go away after exiting and restarting.

EDIT: Never mind! I realize what it was that was keeping it from completely removing itself. It had nothing to do with the addon. Changed to 5 stars.

Custom New Tab Button

Does not work for me either on FF35 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I am with the first reviewer. This addon was likely approved just for the fact that it does not negatively affect the browser, and did not consider whether it functions or not.

As of January 30, 2015 this does not work for me. I wish it would, as the idea is great.

Gray Scale Toolbar Icons

Hint for anyone with FF35+ Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on! It inspired me to put the following in my UserChrome.css file:

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]) .tab-content,
toolbarbutton:not([selected="true"]) { filter: grayscale(1) !important; }
.tabbrowser-tab:hover .tab-content,
toolbarbutton:hover { filter: grayscale(0) !important; }
.tabbrowser-tab[selected="true"] .tab-content { filter: grayscale(0) !important; }

Try it out! Perhaps the owners of this add-on can incorporate this into it? =)

Toolbar Autohide

Helpful hint for those dealing with the transparent bar above the toolbar... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been a long-time user and promoter of this add-on, and check on its reviews every so often. I've noticed that several people have complained about the transparent bar above the toolbar, which started to appear with the onset of Australis in Fx29.

There is a way to manually fix this for every browser session:
1) Press the 'alt' button to show the menubar.
2) Drag your cursor to the top of the screen and leave it there.
3) Press the 'alt' button again to re-hide the menubar.

This should remove any transparent space above the usable toolbar, allowing the user to select tabs and buttons at the very top of the screen as one would expect.

Back to Start

I like it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Pretty simple, no-strings-attached add-on that, as the previous reviewer says, "does what it says."

The next logical step--a 'Forward to End' add-on?

Use with Scrollbar Anywhere Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For users who want to gain the content space with this add-on but still want dragging scrollbar functionality, use Scrollbar Anywhere with it!

PERFECT! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is exactly what I requested! 2.8Kb? Crazy lightweight!

This is perfect for a minimalist like me. Along with Toolbar Autohide, autohiding Vertical Toolbar, and MileWideBack, this addon maximizes my content-to-chrome ratio to near INFINITY. I use Scrollbar Anywhere with this add-on, which acts as an invisible scrollbar anywhere on the page!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1).

Scrollbar Anywhere

On a click-by-click basis... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

...This is probably my most-used extension. Hands down. And that is out of the 70+ add-ons I use. At less than 10KB, it is incredibly lightweight yet equally powerful. Five stars.

NewScrollbars (aka NoiaScrollbars)

Best Scrollbar Addon Period...One Suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am a big fan of this add-on and your other add-ons (especially GMF, and after Australis hits, EVERYONE is going to flock to CTR). As do many of your great add-ons, it allows users to customize and beautify their browsing experience in a way that most other add-ons cannot. For me, however, I only use this add-on for its "No Scrollbars" feature to remove all scrollbars from my browser, so I really use only a fraction of the extension.

Judging from doing a Google search online for "Remove Scrollbar," I think there is a high demand for the "No Scrollbars" feature from minimalists like me, but many people do not find their way to this add-on because the feature is masked by the focus on the many other customization options. They are left with weird userChrome.css/userContent.css options that do not perform this feature quite as perfectly. My suggestion is that you create an simpler, lightweight add-on that simply performs your "No Scrollbars" feature only. It wouldn't even need a GUI. Maybe even restartless? =) I think it would be a big hit.

What do you think?

Toolbar Autohide

Perfection keeps getting better Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been a long-time supporter of this add-on (see my previous reviews) and I am so happy to see it in the 'Up-And-Coming' section. I want to point out how responsive and enthusiastic the developer is to every request/comment/bug that has been reported (even down to the most minute or rare detail). He has continued to improve upon this add-on ever since he overhauled it from Fullscreen Toolbar Hover less than a year ago. I want to reciprocate that enthusiasm with another review.

As I've stated before, this is a minimalist user's DREAM of an add-on. Anyone who likes to view as much of the page as possible and isn't using Toolbar Autohide is really missing out. I recommend combining its usage with autohiding Vertical Toolbar, NewScrollbars (remove scroll bar) + Scrollbar Anywhere, and autohiding the Windows Taskbar for a true fullscreen experience even in Maximized mode.

Sepand, continue to keep up the great work and I will continue to support it. Cheers.

Changing to 5 stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars

First of all, great job on this latest version 1.0.2 and fixing the two issues I brought up in my previous review. To me, it looks a lot better with the normal font for the url rather than the monospace font. And it's great to be able to select "Customize" without fear of losing the title! Keep it up!

However, I have hit a snag. For some reason, this add-on will not install on my other computer. An error pops up saying that "this add-on did not load because it did not match the add-on Firefox expected." I have no clue what is wrong, since I was able to install it on my main computer. I tried completely uninstalling Firefox and personal information and reinstalling, but to no avail. I do not know if anyone else has encountered this issue, but it is pretty frustrating for me. EDIT: I have been able to install the latest version.

Other than that, I do have a new feature request. This add-on disables drag-and-drop capability. In other words, I can no longer drag links or selected text into the URL bar, and I am forced to copy-and-paste or employ other ways to navigate. Is there any way you can fix this? EDIT: I do not need this feature anymore, since I use QuickDrag.

Again, keep up the good work and good luck with your classes!

EDIT: I have also found a bug in which the title sometimes gets stuck on one title, no matter what tab I have selected. This happens after browsing regularly for some time. I do not know how it happens.

EDIT #2: I don't see this issue anymore. 5/5 stars.

Toolbar Autohide

Better than ever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Updated to Version 5.0.1, and it's FANTASTIC. The minimize/restore/exit buttons are back and make the toolbar look great, and the new options since 4.1.2 have made Toolbar Autohide so customizable that anyone will love it no matter what the user's personal preferences are. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Sepand, I have to applaud you both your efforts in developing two of my favorite Firefox add-ons (Newtab Ninja is the other), as well as your outstanding responsiveness and user support. Keep up the great work!

(Side note: I found a bug and have a couple of feature requests, which I will email to you privately.)

Really great, but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really, really like this add-on, and I would prefer it over the "Page Title" add-on, except that there are two things I do not like. One is a bug, and the other is a personal preference: 1) After I click "Customize" in the toolbar, the page titles fail to appear in the url bar--instead, it leaves the url bar blank; 2) I do not like the change in font when selecting the URL--is there a way to allow the user to choose the font?

Until the first bug is fixed, I will not use this add-on.

EDIT: Updated to Version 1.0.2, and both items have been addressed (no pun intended)! I am now using this add-on, and I have changed the rating to 5/5.

Now, one more request... Can you make this add-on compatible with Progre (so that the progress bar shows in the background of the title when loading) and Better URL Bar (so the size of the title font matches the bigger URL font)?

Toolbar Autohide

Still enjoying it Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love that you added the new options, and although I haven't changed my settings, I can see how they are useful for other users.

I noticed that the minimize/restore/exit buttons that you added in an earlier version have since disappeared in ver. 4.2+. Any chance of them coming back?

edit: Thanks for the quick response and clear explanation, Sepand. Again, I love this addon--keep up the good work!

Duplicate Tabs Closer

Potentially great, but does not always work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon initially works, but then eventually stops working and causes issues with tabbed browsing. It possibly conflicts with other addons. I have not yet found an add-on that will automatically close duplicate tabs the way NewTab Ninja automatically closes extra or background new tabs, if this addon is modified to work all the time and is compatible with all addons, I will change my rating to 5 stars for sure.

Edit (in re: to developer's note): An example is with gmail. After opening a duplicate gmail tab, there is a display error in switching between tabs in the tabbar. What is your email address? I can send you my list of addons.

Toolbar Autohide

Incredibly Powerful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am a minimalist browser who was trying to fit too much onto one bar and used lesser singular autohide add-ons to save space. I liked the idea of Fullscreen Toolbar Hover, but did not keep it pre-Version 3.0.3 because I never browse in fullscreen mode (I want access to the Windows Taskbar at the bottom). Now that it hides the toolbar in in maximized mode, this has become my favorite add-on ever! There is nothing else out there that will allow you to have the fullscreen experience in maximized mode. Used in conjunction with an auto-hiding Vertical Toolbar, Addons in Urlbar, and hidden scrollbar, I have an incredibly clean browsing experience with truly maximum screen space, yet quick and easy access to every utility I need!

What I dislike about this add-on is that it seems to be incompatible the Tab Scope add-on, and it causes the minimize/restore/exit buttons to disappear/black out when in Autohide mode. Also, there is a bug that I will discuss with you privately. If these issues are fixed, I will happily change this review to the full 5 stars it deserves!

Great job, sepandparhami!

EDIT: Updated to 4.0.3, all my issues were resolved! Rating changed to 5 stars! Still hoping for a minimize/maximize/close button fix, though.
