This addon is more of a set-it-and-forget-it type. The default settings are more than enough for a mostly ad-free web. Don't select all the available lists and break your internet.
Adblock plus slows down Firefox and it's general knowledge now. Ghostery needs too much configuration especially not to block commenting systems, and feels like(and is) it's made by a corporation.
There is nothing about this addon that's screaming or shouting about itself. Despite its minimalism if you look at the settings page you'll see a big list of preconfigured ad-block subscription-lists.
The toolbar button has simply 2 functions. The first one lets you permanently disable (or re-enable) ublock on the particular site you're on. I turn it off for my favorite sites that I frequently visit. The second button shows a list of the blocked items on the page you're on. The toolbar button icon itself shows a count of the # of items blocked on the page/tab, and red/gray showing it's status.
Really awesome work. It works perfectly & flexible enough to add newer country TLDs : D
There are 2 domains that Google forces TLD according to IP location. One is blogspot.com and the other is google.com.
Please (pleaaassseee) add google.com as well.
I've had jittery (mouse) scrolling in Firefox at least since more than 6 or 7 years if I remember right. It feels as if the computer is slow. This doesn't happen in firefox with zero addons; I have like 42 addons and 10 Greasemonkey userscripts.
That being said, this add-on is a blessing. After using for more than 3 weeks now, I'm happy to say I don't have scroll lags anymore. I love Firefox again.
PS: I set timer to 5 minutes.
FF user since FF 2.0. This is the best of it's kind - just look at the features list.
COMPUTErs help us automate many steps into an easy one. So..
I have an image or screenshot in My Pictures, and I could have it hosted and it's url copied to clipboard in 2 steps:
1. Drag n drop image from computer to firefox.
2. Right-click and select Rehost
Now you can paste the url anywhere. It's automagic.

Nice!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5).
Super addon!! I use this to avoid the annoying country redirect of google. Works even from search box! Also permanently expand "more search tools" in google searches. The Test option is so useful - it shows the author is an expert and this is a well thought of addon.
Here's my google settings: http://pastebin.com/YAibVTjY
Very useful to access secure sites otherwise blocked by my ISP.
Since this addon allows you to maintain a *list* of sites, it's obvious that users may need to export/import the addon's setting. Hence the 4 star.
Meanwhile for those who want to copy/backup the settings from one profile to another, do this:
- Start Run(Win+R), type "%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" (w/ or w/o quotes) and hit Enter. Here you'll find your Firefox profile(s).
- Copy the 'permissions.sqlite' file from your profile directory to the new profile dir (or a backup directory)
Look at all the features and scripts available. Now realize that this addon is only 85.0 KB. Winner addon all the way.
Been using this with NextPlease for a long time now: )
Currently I'm using a similar addon which is easier to use as it has more %variables% and not dependent on context for %titles% etc. It's called CoLT [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/colt/]
This addon deserves a review because it was released few months before CoLT was on mozilla, and also 10kb smaller in size. Hope to see future updates.
< 2 KB Addon. WINNER. : )This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1).
Well done, you are an expert themer. I've never used Maxthon 3, but this theme really makes Firefox look good. So much attention to detail like menu, menu highlight, progress bar, tab progress animation, ui radio controls & checkbox--everything is themed well. Really beautiful and blows Chrome out of the water. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.4).
Been using since 0.9 but still wont sync passwords from sync->new firefox despite entering correct secret phrase. Otherwise works. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.2).
Oh My God:
1) Flagfox is now ten fold more awesome than about 2 years ago
2) Since the beginning Flagfox has had frequent updates and even now it's compatible with the latest firefox alpha versions
3) There can be improvement & growth without "bloat" and flagfox is an example. It started off as a tiny icon in the statusbar. Now it's (still is) tiny flag moved it's home to the address bar while being so much more indispensible.
Thankyou Dave.G. Keep up the good work; it's much appreciated! : )
There had been a few similar addons in the past that hides the title bar. But this addon does it the best without screwing up the minimize/maximize/close buttons. This is the best addon to save screen-space and/or customize your firefox to your liking.
PS: FF 3.7a5 has a new option if u right click the toolbar - "Tabs on top". When this is done the top-right corner doesnt really blend in. Please look into that. Thankyou,.
Mainly I installed this addon to move it to the top. Now I can't do without the "Phrase not found" feature!.
Please add an option to display [number of results found]. Information is power :-)
After 5+ years I'm sad to switch from XMarks to weave because xmarks' size is too big ~800KB. I like addons to besmall so that Firefox remains as fast as when it was first installed. I only want to sync bookmarks & passwords and xmarks is getting way out of scope; a "lite" version might be good for those who only want basic functionality. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.10).
Very nice! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.70).
Awesome! Superb! Automation means so much to us these days. I don't need Context Search & (kind of) Menu Editor anymore. I never realized I could save so much energy after selecting a word(s).
This simplistic addon (or complex - your choice) is customizable to a dizzying level of granularity. There's integration with many popular Firefox addons & I have yet to try them.
Thankyou & keep up the good job István MIKES KASZMÁN.
Please upgrade for FF 3.1
