My Reviews

TrayHotKey

Works so far... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was using Minimize to Tray Revived (MinTrayR), but it kept disabling the close button on Thunderbird (usually after waking up from hibernate). This has the same functionality, but adds the ability to use a hotkey to minimize to tray. As long as this doesn't show the same bug, it will be a perfect replacement.

Update after 3 days...

It's still working perfectly through 3 or 4 hibernate and wakeup cycles and another dozen or so sleep cycles. It's perfect.

New Tab Tools

Useful for one thing only... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I like that I can use this extension to set custom images for pinned tiles. I also like the fact that the image I set for pinned tiles seems to stick. Everything else about this plugin is just not right--especially the HUGE tiles! LEAVE THE D**N TILES THE DEFAULT SIZE!!!

Excuse me, but that is the only thing that makes this addon imperfect, and with me, that is a HUGE problem. At the very least, make the size of the tiles ADJUSTABLE.

Scroll Up Folder

If only... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great, now if only the x-clear add-on didn't interfere with the scrolling, everything would be great!

Gnome Classic

Disabled? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It does not work properly in Linux. When this is installed into Iceweasel 3.5.10 on Debian Squeeze, all of my extensions in Tools -> Add-ons say that they are disabled, including this theme and the default tango theme.

The real winner comes when I click on the support link to report the problem as a bug. The support link takes me straight to the general Mozilla forum at dslreports.com. That's not exactly how I would prefer to report a bug to the developer.

FireTray

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great job! I recently dropped KDE 4.3 because there are still too many bugs for me to use it in production (specifically, printing from _all_ KDE apps is now so thoroughly screwed up that KDE no longer is usable for anyone that has something to print--complete regression from the excellent printing system in KDE 3.5).

This gives Iceowl and Icedove the exact features that caused me to use KDE in the first place--quick and easy access to Kontact and Kmail with built-in notifications while they were minimized to the system tray. Thank-you for the great add-on. (Running on a mixed Debian Squeeze/Sid)

My_buuf_deux

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

While the buttons don't exactly match the Buuf Deuce KDE icon set, they are close enough to satisfy. They are definitely a better match for my color scheme than most themes. Thanks for the set!

Torbutton

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Does what it's supposed to do but messes up other things. Konquefox and GoUp buttons cannot be accessed while torbutton is enabled. Also, interferes with custom arrangement of items in toolbars.

Signature Switch

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice idea and a good start, but it could be easier to use. It needs an option to retrieve program output directly without writing shell scripts to do all the work for it.

Stealther

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Using FF 2.0.0.14 and Stealther 1.0.2, I had almost identical issues to other people in the past with previous versions, even after uninstalling the extension. It would set my "undo closed tab" history to zero and not set it back, among other things. If you have problems like this, look back a page or two in the reviews and there are instructions on reversing these effects.
