My Reviews

xkcd

Pointless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Long Titles already does this, and doesn't impose arbitrary OS requirements. Even the XKCD FAQ links Long Titles over this. Naming an extension after a web comic is totally unnecessary, and doesn't even express the purpose well.

Long Titles

So simple, so useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you read webcomics like XKCD, this extension solves the titles problem simply. Recommended for everyone, but most of all for XKCD readers (if you haven't been reading the mouseover text, reread the whole run for it).

Flashblock

Convenient, effective Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Flash creates most of the traffic on too many web sites, using tiny little Flash objects that popover and block the screen. With this extension, you get the default blocking of NoScript, while unblocking is trivially simple (a simple button click). After Adblock Plus, this is the second Add-on I install on every copy of Firefox I use.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.6).

Adblock Plus

*THE* Must Have Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The first add-on I install every time I install Firefox on a new machine. The EasyList subscription blocks 95% of ads, and blocking specific ads is a breeze. For power users like myself, the regular expression support allows for more complete blocking. And since the slowest servers are ad servers, and they use the most bandwidth to boot, this improves web surfing speeds by an order of magnitude, no matter how fast your connection is.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.5.4).
